Mika Vainio disappeared tragically in Trouville-Sur-Mer (France) in April 2017.
More than a simple series of tracks, this mix was conceived as the allegory of an ultimate journey, the idea of passing from life to death, and a small tribute to the exemplary career of a sound sculptor at the top of his art.
This mix includes titles composed under his own name or moniker Ø, his collaborations with Josephine Michel, Franck Vigroux, Charlemagne Palestine or Arne Deforce and some of the projects he was part of: Pan Sonic, of course, but also Gagarin-Kombinaatti, Rude Mechanic & Kosmos.
