DEESOL, in real-life also called Victor Dissel is a music-producer based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. His youth and environment were buzzing with creativity. His father played bass as a jazz musician and his mother has her expertise in visual arts. Victor Dissel got influenced a lot by the jazz/fusion and more experimental music of his father. At the age of five he started playing drums and bass guitar, which resulted in a good sense of rhythm and fundament in music. He got influenced by techno and house from the late 90s and began DJ’ing on vinyl. After a while he started creating his own music which led him to attend the School of Arts (HKU, Music & Technology) based in Utrecht. This has grown into an evolution of skill and a broad understanding of music. 

At 20-years-old, he now is a master of his craft with growing sound design and production capabilities. With a keen sense for both rhythm and atmosphere DEESOL leads you into a world of contrasts, emotions and power. With four official releases now including two EPs and two singles, there will be many more to come in the near future. Besides DEESOL, Victor Dissel also collaborated as a music composer and sound designer with a variety of people coming from other disciplines. Within the last two years he had the opportunity to work with fashion designers, dancers and visual artists.
