one for all my astrology qweens—i recorded this mix in celebration of mercury’s recent transit through gemini.

being the native ruler of gemini, this mercurial shift holds a notable influence. native themes of duality and transience are explored within musical structure and colour across this 60-minute curation.

playing on the dual nature of gemini, the mix is split into two halves: the first exploring detailed, cerebral jungle, trip-hop and drum & bass—the second indulging in deep, rezonant and percussive techno, dub and ambient.

on a more personal level, this astral shift presented me with a rush of inspiration and mental clarity, nurturing a fundamental awareness of my identity that has only been partially clear to me in the past. very nice.

having multiple gemini placements in my chart, i often feel conflicted between two ideas or paths of action. thematically and technically, this mix lovingly embraces duality as opposed to polarisation; eclecticism as opposed to fragmentation; liberty as opposed to restlessness.

 I was at a local beach club on the lac Sevan in Armenia, hanging out with people that all had blurry faces. Suddenly, I felt a familiar presence entering the garden. The feeling was weird, as I suddenly had the impression of being split apart. When I looked behind me, I saw an older version of myself slowly running to me.
