Skryptöm celebrates 15 years with a series of four collab EPs. Each artist of the label invited one of their favorite producers for a unique collaboration.

A lot has happened over the past 15 years, new musical styles, switch from vinyl to digital and streams... changes that Antoine Husson (aka Electric Rescue) has welcomed with the same passion since the label creation in 2007. The french imprint has turned into a family of artists and projects, expanding into different musical styles, developing older members and welcoming new ones.

All artists spent days together jamming in the Skryptöm Collective project on various occasions in Caen, Nantes and Morocco before the pandemic. More recently the frequent Skryptöm parties at Nexus and Km25 (Paris) helped bond all artists together.

With this family spirit in mind, all artists had to feature on the compilation and the collabs were a fun way to welcome friends, mentors and inspirations.

We would like to thank all participating artists and hope you enjoy these 20 tracks.

Spektre's record label Respekt kick starts 2023 with a peak-time techno EP by Jody 6.

Jody 6 is an Australian artist known for his hard-hitting release on labels ranging from T78's Autektone to The YellowHeads' Reload.

Based in Brisbane, Jody 6 has been releasing electronic music for nearly two decades and still plays regularly at some of Australia's biggest events and festivals.

His style is a timeless fusion of pounding percussion and tantalising synth lines that are shrouded in dark atmospherics.

"Hold Me" opens the release with its pulsating bassline and thumping kick drum, which leads to an old-school breakbeat section with a sensual female vocal before the four-to-the-floor groove slams back in.

'It is What it is' takes the listener to those moments when everything feels out of control and all you can do is accept what life throws at you. Sonically from below the pulsating bassline drives the track, while the startling razor sharp stabs, puncture throughout the hypnotic journey. 

The hip shaking rhythm of the percussive elements tie the tune together at the same time keeping dancefloors moving throughout the night.
