The Dresden label Uncanny Valley celebrates its catalogue number 50 with a compilation series that stretches over several records. That's also a return to the beginnings of the label, which started in 2010 with four compilation records.

The first record of the series is already a foretaste of an upcoming summer. With FANTA KORN TANKER Hessen's Golden Boy Lauer stomps through the club, while letting the magic speak through keys. SUMMER INTERLUDE by James Booth is playing out on an entire range of feelings, banging hard and showing off the European producer's Pop music sensibilities as well.

On side b we have the two Dresden based producers Sandrow M and Will Dubner with their fun and funky bass line monster DISCO SCHLAMBONI. While Sandrow M is already established on the label with two solo EPs under his belt, it's the first outingfrom not-so-new-comer Will Dubner. Another new face is Berlin's Jules Etienne who contributes DUDE'S DEN, a first class Disco affair, complete with beguiling vocals and arousing percussions.

The school corridor was empty except for a few stray papers that had escaped from a locker and proceeded to float down the hall. The bell had rung a couple of minutes before and those loitering had since scarpered in fear of a scolding. All but one student, a small golden haired girl, who instead had hidden herself from view at the end of the corridor. A soft whimper left her lips as she hugged her knees tight into her chest. In her hands a scrunched up letter welcomed her to her new school. But she didn't feel welcome, she felt like an alien in this place. 

Two of Tel Aviv's most promising talents Niv Ast and Eliezer team up for their first joint release to inaugurate their new label, New Day Everyday, set up with Paris-based booker Daniel Weil. Collectively racking up previous releases on Ombra International, SC&P, Relish and Days Of Being Wild, this collaboration sees the duo blending distorted guitars, electronic rhythms and punk bass lines for four dance floor numbers.

PREMIERE: Niv Ast & Eliezer - Martians In Pluto [New Day Everyday]

Evolution is good, and that’s an ethos Anja Schneider continues to hold high with her label Sous Music. Providing a creative platform for Anja to evolve her own sound and a home for exciting collaborations with the new wave of outstandingly talented and accomplished producers Schneider admires. 

Following a particularly fruitful period of production, Anja Schneider is back with two original tracks ‘Give It To You All’ and ‘Tijuana’, joined by two outstanding producers who are both making their debut to Sous – Fort Romeau and Mella Dee.  Title track, ‘Give It All To You’ is a deep and powerful excursion. Rotund 808s fill the low end with menace as sparse percussion and groovy stabs occupy the upper frequencies. Pads and extra percussive energy provide the drive and direction before the spoken word male vocal ties it all together. On the remix, Anja is very happy to welcome Fort Romeau. Noted for his releases on Ghostly International, Permanent Vacation, Correspondent and Spectral Sound, he smooths things by out adding a detailed Giorgio Moroder-style bass and some epic sparkly pads.   ‘Tijuana’ sees Anja taking a darker journey. Heavily compressed drums give a sense of claustrophobic tension drawing you in as the layers slowly reveal themselves. A strong spoken vocal provides the main focus underpinning the groove before the organ lead takes over. On the remix, one of the UK’s most loved and prolific producers Mella Dee. With his unique blend of techno combining elements of house, hardcore and jungle, completely reconstructs the main motifs into a powerful and energetic tech workout adding a futuristic retro twist.

Anja Schneider - Give It All To You (Fort Romeau's Osaka Mix)

New release from the label "Le Temps Perdu". STATUE is a mysterious percussion-based structure erected by Tom Gould.  With origins behind a drum kit laying down the foundations in cult Melbourne bands "NO ZU" and "World’s End Press", STATUE has become an evolving stand-alone project. 
Commissioned by Le "Temps Perdu", "Solidify" delves further into the hypnotic percussive groove of STATUE. With its feet firmly fixed on the dance floor "Solidify" manages to cover a lot of ground. With left of center remixes by "Zombies in Miami" and Christian S, this EP redefines the space, which STATUE occupies.

Comprising four slices of leftfield, rave-infused behemoths, it further added to his growing catalogue of precision-tooled acid anthems. "Insult To Injury" is incredibly excited to announce a remix EP, featuring three variations on the original themes of Unborn EP, from an all-star cast of some of our favourite producers.
First up is style icon, multi-instrumentalist, DJ extraordinaire and mega-producer, Curses. He takes Akathisia on a dubbed out journey via chugging guitars, acidic synth stabs, swirling arpeggios and beyond. This one hits hard!

PREMIERE : Timothy Clerkin - Akathisia (Curses Remix)

Having discovered electronic music at the end of the ’90s, Thomass grew up going to raves where trance was one of the main styles played at these massive parties. The influence it had on him was planted deeply into his DNA and this EP is the interpretation he has these days of the genre. He moved on to different pastures soon after
but the style was already in him.
Thomass now takes the old fashioned elements he still likes and takes them to new directions. Fueled by gated chords, dreamy arpeggios, trippy vocals, and percussions these tracks are destined to take you back into the past and bring you right back to the present.

Mancha Recordings enlist DJ Overdose to serve up a standout new tune that then gets remixed by Rik Elmont, Filburt and Back For Good to make for another great EP.

Dutchman DJ Overdose is a cult figure with a fine discography and improves it again here with Bring Me. It is a lo fi bit of raw, hard hitting deep house. Clacking hits, muffled bass and obscured synths all take you into a late might world of weirdness. The first remix from Rik Elmont turns it into a more loose limbed and dubbed out house cut, while Filburt keeps it low key, with gorgeous ambient pads, classic vocal samples buried deep in the mix and gorgeous keys. Lastly, Back For Good keeps it deep with musical bass and heart tugging vocal loops over the top of rickety drums. 

This is a tasteful EP of innovative deep house.

DJ Overdose - BRING ME (FILBURT REMIX)

The French producer Fred Berthet is not a newcomer in the world of the electronic scene, he is considered as a certified veteran in this field. Under his pseudonym Dj Steef he is still one of the best choices in terms of Edits, Nu-disco and Down-Tempo. As when he signs under his own name his productions for House and Deep-House .
His formula is simple, in an energetic and deep electronic atmosphere, he works on technics as subtle as effective. Fred signs the 18th release of the label by delivering an EP composed of 3 tracks, Electronic and Modern Deep-House. 

"Ethylinks" open the Ep with an hypnotic, electronic and deep atmosphere, led by a strong bassline, making the pressure growing up till the end.

« Scalla » is the second track, bringing a special balearic vibe with a kind of old school treatment to lead the listener in a psychedelic slow trip.

« Furtif »  ends the project with an evolutive and melodic construction of hypnotic synth loops, reaching a climax in an epic breakdown. Perfectly shaped for clubs !

Amsterdam based imprint Taped Artifact welcomes Erik Anthony to their label. With only one contribution to the Dynamic Reflection label back in 2017, very less is known about the young Amsterdam producer. But here he makes a stellar techno debut with his first solo EP backed with a Vril remix.

On the a-side things kick off with 'Board Walk', haunting vocal chops combined with droning kick drums making it a serious big-room techno jam. 'Oclose' brings more soul to the game, subtle basslines and dreamy synths create an uplifting and joyful playground for endless dancing. Vril then stirs things up, his take on 'Oclose' has more punch, a different energy and his trademark hazy dub-techno twist. Last track 'Separate' is an emotive yet powerful techno workout that closes the four track affair that can be seen as a promising allround debut release.

Erik Anthony - Board Walk [TA009]

For their second Ostgut Ton EP, Sunao @Gonno and @Nick-Hoeppner worked together on three tracks over the course of two years between their respective studios in Tokyo and Berlin – editing, altering and tweaking each other’s musical additions with a penchant toward melodic, multilayered house and techno that floats easily beyond the functional. Accordingly, ‘Lost’ is defined by the interactive playfulness and unpredictability of their collaborative process, elements often missing from dance music.

On ‘Lost’, the duo continue further out into inner space. On “Bangalore”, the duo showcase their mastery of creating expansive long, psychedelic ecosystems of melodic phrasing and rhythmic development; drawn-out techno exploration. “Love Lost” slows things down to a post-disco boogie chug of breaks, bass, dubby synth stabs and sadness. EP closer “Start Trying” is a sweaty, post-peaktime trip of strings and dilated pupils. Swirling melodies braindancing long after the after party.

For this @DarkScienceElectro premiere, we look to @2020visionrecordings for a brand new release from @kosh212

Kosh exploded onto the electro scene in 2018 with his debut release ‘Null 212’ on @csvoyager records. The track that received the most attention was ‘Catch The Train’ with it’s faultless modern take on classic Detroit electro reminiscent of @cybotron-official and Aux 88. It became a big track for 20/20 Vision founder Ralph Lawson who quickly invited Kosh to record for the label.

‘Vicious Love’ is a diverse 4 track EP showing off the Moroccan producers faultless production skills with the A-side featuring ‘An Arab in Space’ that continues to bring the classic sound of Detroit up to date.

We've reached a pivotal moment for Local Talk. 

What better way then to present one of the best kept secrets out there, MLiR aka Modern Life Is Rubbish this time joined by Arnau Obiols, a multi-instrumentalist producer from Barcelona, who has some big upcoming releases under his moniker Velmondo. 

After making a serious impact with their remarkable 'Swedish Lo-Life' and 'Trans-World Junktion', on fellow Swedish label Studio Barnhus, we're thrilled to have MLiR and Arnau onboard together for our 100th release on Local Talk. 

Yes, that is correct, we're celebrating the big 100. Since the very beginning we've covered everything from the deeper shades of house to, the jackin' and the gritty house, released some slower BPMs and also the uplifting, vocal and organic house. As you probably noticed - we love it all. 

The 100th release main track 'Lajbans' is one of those sublime tunes that is bridging the gap between all styles of dance music; it's epic and manages to offer plenty of subtle details to keep you locked for the full 9 minute experience.
