Dilla's Jazz samples have always inspired me musically production wise as a pianist whilst in the second half of this track I did a Jazz ode of Aruarian Dance, my favourite track from the late Nujabes.

Stranger, out August 17th, sees Malinchak head in a new bubbly disco direction, gets the remix treatment by Dutch producer and singer duo Full Crate x Mar, turning the track into a smooth r&b number. GoldRush is a collaborative compostition by Multi-Instrumentalist and producer, DJ Harrison, and beatsmith, SoundGenesis, from Richmond, VA. This tape follows Thrash Flow's two prior sold out releases by Ohbliv and Count Bass D.  GoldRush is a limited run of 200 black shell cassettes with "gold" tape leader and comes with a digital download card.

"The term 'Gold Rush' was made popular in the mid 1800s. Various seekers from across the land hurried into the Southwest in hopes of new beginnings and valuable treasures. As a result of this event, countless diggers furiously battled over gold, the object of desire. These '49ers were early day hustlers, simply out to get their prize with nothing to stop them. This still applies, in a world where technology helps us reach our dreams and aspirations. That is what this tape resembles: another rush to get the gold."

It's been a while since we've put out some music huh? Well we apologize for that. We've been growing at such a fast rate and we had to put our focus on to other avenues within Soulection to make this the best platform possible for many years to come. 

With that said, we are sooooo excited to bring your attention to a new artist who you most likely have never heard of (that's about to change) from Wales, UK. We were put on to this talented individual by our friend @helios5th when we first traveled to London back in May. Something about PYRMD's sound just captured us instantly. It's very unique and his melodies just capture your mind like your favorite incense.

PYRMDPLAZA is currently attending the University of Wales and is studying 'Creative Sound and Music'. He uses Ableton but started off with FLStudio. PYRMD started making music about 6-7 years ago and created privately for many years until the beginning of this year when he realized that he wanted to showcase his music. He definitely made the right choice otherwise we wouldn't be here at this very moment. Goes to show you how important social media is and how simply hitting "upload" can change your whole life by connecting with the world.
