Charlie Dee Diaz is a South Florida-based DJ and producer, ftom The Bronx and he’s no stranger to the music scene. Diaz has been DJing since 1979, and is known as one of the premier editors in the business working with partner Jose Chep Nunez as the Diamond 2 in the 80s and worked on many classic dance records, including All & All by Joyce Sims, Hungry for your love by Hanson and Davis and Como tu te llama by Sly Fox. He also worked with Omar Santana on several projects including the dance/pop classic "Hooked on You" by Sweet Sensation. He started out as a hip-hop DJ in The Bronx at the Shorehaven Beach Club skating rink. From there, he quickly made connections and obtained his own radio show in New York, playing hip-hop and club music on Saturday nights.
In 1985, he remixed his first hit “Let’s go all the way” by SlyFox on Capitol Records, From there, he began remixing and editing tracks more regularly, including dance classics such as All & All by Joyce Sims, Hooked on you by Sweet Sensation, and Hungry for your love by Hanson and Davis. He has also worked on four No. 1 Billboard hits, produced by Ted Currier. In the late ‘90s, he found licensing success by landing his music on two movies, TAP with a house track by Tony Terry titled Forget the Girl, Enemy Territory, and MTV’s Made. In 2014 Sony Playstation licensed “Let’s go all the way” for the “Grand Theft Auto 5“ T.V. and online campaign. Today, he produces hip hop, house, tech house, and progressive house music, citing his influences as Santana, Grandmaster Flash, Isaac Hayes on his label Breakout Worldwide Recordings.

Jay de Miceli founded Nutekk Labs in 1995 from his home on the Jersey Shore. This story began when he was working at Cafe Bar in Long Branch, when he stepped into the DJ booth - it was clear that the booth was the place to be. After honing his skills and building his record collection, he decided to step it up a bit and did what all NJ kids dream of... he moved into Manhattan. 

Setting up his studio inside his East Harlem apartment in the late 1990's he made friends quickly in the neighborhood. No one minded the banging beats until the wee- hours of the morning back then. Somewhere on Second Ave he met The Specialist, and together they created hits that would be heard around the world, topping international charts, like Kiss Radio Taiwan and breaking into the Top 40. Nutekk Labs productions have also appeared on numerous dance compilations throughout the world - including EMI's Clubbers Guide Series. NY was great, but quickly the fun and freedom were being overshadowed by bigger problems facing the city - so Jay moved South.

Nutekk Labs found new headquarters in South Beach. It was March when Jay arrived and most people know what that means in Miami...Winter Music Conference. Big parties that never end...until the conference is over! When that party goes almost everyone and everything goes with it. Summer in South Beach is hot and quiet, so Jay got to work finding the prime places to DJ. He did a few guest spots before landing a couple of residencies, a very fun, early evening pool party at the famous Catalina Hotel and a prime Friday night weekly inside the lounge at Cafeteria on Lincoln Road - (equipt with phazon). After four wonderful seasons in Miami Beach Jay was headed back to the Jersey Shore where it all began. 

Jay built his studio (with the help of a very good friend and awesome builder Luis Lugo) next to his home, and wasted no time with taking on new endeavors. Jay began working with some of the most influential synth manufacturers in the world. He has completed numerous Sound Design Projects with Waldorf over the past five years and has most recently had the honor of working very closely with Wolfgang Palm, designing programs for the PPG Wavegenerator and Wavemapper.  

Jay de Miceli brings an uplifting vibe to any project he is involved in, and is always working on a new project. Jay continues to Produce music as Nutekk Labs and is scheduled to release three new tracks on Conspiracy House in March 2013. You can hear his latest mix each month on Traxerit 60, "... supplied for aural enhancement as sixty minutes of fast acting downloadable Aural Antidoldrumine, delivering effective relief from negative vibes."
