One of the alias’ for New York legend Sandy Rivera, K.O.T. (@sandy-rivera) helped define the early 90's New York house sound with a series of key releases that climaxed in 2001 with the global smash 'Finally' - truly one of the house music classics.
 
Happily, Sandy Rivera is still making killer, soulful house music and this latest release on Poker Flat Recordings continues to showcase his immeasurable talent for groove. 

‚Kaoz‘ comes along with a fine remix by the Swiss born DJ and producer Dario D’Attis (@dario-dattis-1), that perhaps draws on some the 90’s influence, that K.O.T. defined.

Underground pedigree Lenny Larusso makes his debut on Pogo House Records with a tasty two track ep titled ‘Let Loose’. Lenny brings a buoyant but laid back House vibe to Pogo House Records with the title track ‘Let Loose. Sultry’ warm tones that cohabit
 with chugging, heavy kicks and crisp percussion, give off a nice, feel-good vibe to the track.

For Track 2 ‘On My Way’ Lenny demonstrates a good consistency level in his production with a fusion of Soulful and Garage vibes. Tight kicks make up the textured beats and the funk-infused bassline has a Grant Nelson feel to it. Couple this with killer stabs and a cool breakdown and ‘On My Way’ is nice polished track in it full composition. Lenny Larusso has thrown his hat into the ring and we are a little intrigued to see what else there is to come from him this year.

On 20th November 2020, Reel People roll back into town with their first original material in over a decade. The Dancing On The Moon EP, produced by core members Oli Lazarus, Mike Patto and Toni Economides, will lead out a brand new album, Love2, later this year. Weaving contemporary R&B vibes into the collective’s classic, groove-fired flow, the album promises a powerful evolution of the Reel People sound.

EP opener I Never Knew is pure pomp, pace and purpose – fizzing bars courtesy of Arrested Development’s Speech riding an irresistible cosmic groove in fine style and expressing perfectly the out-and-out euphoria of love. If I Was Your Man, fronted by Michael Champion, bounces standout R&B vocals over some seriously swaggering piano stomp and soul personality, whilst Atlanta songstress Chantae Cann applies subtle, silky finesse to Dance In Her Eyes. Here, Cann’s dreamy vocals segue into moody synth-funk topped by Philly rapper Dayne Jordan’s dextrous rhymes, adding further intensity to this time-honoured tale of fleeting dancefloor love.
