Wavolizer has sent the infamous Trip Detectives to investigate the playful and groovy side of hardcore. They have reported three rather suspect tracks, and it is up to you to decide: whodunnit?! It might just be title track 'The Trip Detectives', sly and mischievous as it is with that noir atmosphere and pumping bassline... Or is it 'Rave Reunion Vibes', with those hard techno sounds and lovey-dovey vocals, not revealing the true intentions behind that innocent facade... But it certainly couldn't be 'Oceancore', right? Well, that overly sweet fusion of tropical melodies with slowcore industrial beats could be deceiving your judgement... Maybe they're all guilty. You decide!

Double Phunq & Outer Mind - This Sound (official preview)

I really wanted to play 'Hello Earth' in my set at the Defqon.1 mainstage this year, with its beautiful melody and epic atmosphere. It is very long and purely instrumental though, and I felt like it would be too much of a challenge for the crowd in that form. That's why I put the scissors in the arrangement, and layered the fantastic vocals from one of my all-time favorites 'Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes' on top. I've been getting a lot of requests for this closing track of my set, and now it's all yours :)

Frankenstein

Double F-ect - Frankenstein

The oldest bootleg of the bunch. The last time I worked on the project was 2005, but it was actually done in 2003. I remember very well, because I asked the resident DJ in a local club to play it and he did. What made it more special, was the fact he kept playing it in his sets for several weeks without me asking. That was before I even had an official release on my name and it motivated me to keep going.

I think I ripped the kick and bass from DHHD tracks Funky Shit (kick) and Rush (bass), sorry guys... The distorted kick was my own sound design though and sounded really 'fresh' at the time. It was produced at 144bpm back then, so I recently exported it to Cubase and reworked and remastered it into this 150bpm version.
