Celebrating two decades in business, Technique Recordings have opened up the vaults and handed out the stems of some of their biggest tunes to some of the sickest producers around. We had warnings of what was to come with DC Breaks' remix of Tantrum Desire's 'Airhead' and Glitch City's take on Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Skumbag', and cuts from this album have been shelling down raves and festivals all summer.

Now, here's what we've been waiting for.

This album, spanning the full twenty years of Technique history, showcases the real strength and depth of the catalogue. Anthems like Crissy Criss & Youngman's 'Kick Snare', Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Crossfire' and Tantrum Desire's 'Reach' all get reconfigured to take heads off all over again. The bossmen have even resurrected their Future Tech moniker to give a 2019 upgrade to TECH 001.

And the array of remixers recruited take us all the way across the spectrum of contemporary drum 'n' bass. The likes of Bladerunner and Marky rub shoulders with AMC and The Prototypes...this album is as musically multi-faceted as it is star-studded. Just take a look down the tracklist to see how much there is to discover, taking in dancefloor, jungle, jump-up and more.

In summary, this is how to celebrate a birthday in style. Some of the biggest tracks from the back catalogue given the remix treatment by some of the biggest artists in the scene. Drumsound & Bassline Smith - Holdin On (Muffler Remix)

In the world of music, there are many important partnerships: light and dark, kick and snare, drums and bass. So in 2018 when Bailey Greer deemed it necessary to make the long overdue move from sunny Australia to murky England and team up with Josh Croft, all in the name of music, only positivity could occur. After a strong string of releases on labels like Silent Audio, Goldfat and collaborations with the likes of Logistics and Saikon on Hospital Records, the pair positioned themselves at the forefront of the ever emerging talent on Soulvent.

Taking up the mantle from Pola & Bryson as Soulvent’s premier production pair, we are immensely proud to announce the debut album from In:Most, Voyager. The 16-track odyssey features appearances from scene stalwarts like Carasel and Lucy Kitchen, while flying high the flag of the next generation with fellow rising names like Walk:r and Mistrust. Embracing the concept of the journey was truly important to the pair on this record, wanting to push themselves outside of their comfort zone and challenge the listener as much as their own perception of their sound.

While the heady dancefloor highs of tracks like ‘Stay’ or ‘Do You’ might be what you’d expect from the pair’s last two singles, blistering tracks like ‘Embers’ and ‘Fever Dreams’ both attest to the beauty of collaboration, as well as the growing maturity in the young duo’s output.

Meanwhile the smooth tones of Ukranian born Anastasia’s vocals grace the glittering foundations of ‘Home’ whilst Lucy Kitchen’s familiar and comforting voice on ‘Glimmer’ provide the stellar female-led element of the record. For that unmistakable In:Most liquid sound, look no further than the likes of ‘Silver Lining’ with Walk:r, it’s beautiful guitar and piano lines linking up effortlessly - or the warming wah-wah washes of ‘Notions’ against it’s twinkling arps and soft pads.

Both a fun and engaging change of pace, ‘Scuba’ ushers in some serious garage flavour, with a playful take on the genre with a boundless, bubbling bassline.

Could a debut album out of Cambridge be complete without featuring a member of Drum & Bass royalty like Hospital Records veteran, Logistics? ‘Fixated’ blends raspy percussion with swirling sub bass and uplifting top notes with a drifting, drawn out vocal sample that shows the boys really can run with the big dogs.

Coming back into port, with the peaceful outro that is ‘Harbour’, we are reminded once again that In:Most’s production capability is not contained by drum and bass or tempos above 170 and their journey to get to this point has been long, varied and truly unforgettable.

12 months in the making, and undeniably worth every second of the wait - we welcome you to grab a 1st class ticket, sit back and relax, and enjoy the ride. ‘Voyager’ is out in all good stores on the 3rd of April.

[A] Absence Of Self - If I Could:
Opening the new Elevation EP release series from Nu Venture Records, is UK artist and label newcomer Absence Of Self, with his track If I could. An amalgamation of different styles with inspiration taken from many of the leading sub genre producers to create this fusion of 80's electronic and modern Dancefloor Drum & Bass. Energetic drums work alongside a catchy lead synth, which dominates from the drop, to keep the energy levels high throughout and set the tone for this 4 track EP.

[B] Lucy Amado - What A Feeling (Ground Unit Remix):
Ground Unit returns to Nu Venture Records with a remix of a vocal track from singer songwriter Lucy Amado. Taking on official remix duties for Lucy's second single; What A Feeling, an 80's inspired synth wave track. Ground Unit utilises that timeless sound to maintain the feel and sentiment of the original, as his Drum & Bass version combines Lucy's beautiful vocals with high lead synths, deep bass and rolling drums. An Impressive blend of 2 genres celebrating nostalgic flavours and energetic Dancefloor vibes!

[C] KNGHT - Bombinate:
Bombinate begins with a very melodic and subdued approach with enticing and dreamy pads resonating throughout the intro. Atmospheric strings accompany a soft piano melody in the build up to the first drop, before big epic synths are unleashed. High energy drums and a catchy saw synth melody then provide real power to this track and elevate the intensity to the next level. A contrasting track with a fine balance between melodic and fast tempo Dancefloor Drum & Bass.

[D] T-Trider - Your Soul:
T-Trider features on NVR for the second time in 2020 with his track Your Soul, composed in his signature energetic style. From the onset the intro is laden with atmospheric pads before being joined by vocoder vocals and lively 80's influenced drums. Uplifting melodies then combine together with a pulsating bassline and dancefloor orientated synths to enhance the flow of the track and complete this fast paced and elevating EP.
