[A] Mustard Cuts - I'm Not Here:
Opening Elevation 2 EP is a new artist to the label, UK based Mustard Cuts, with his track I'm Not Here. Deviating from his usual style I'm Not Here finds its origins from a casual session involving a Fender Strat, with the end result being the evocative chords and riff in the intro, that help give this track its warm and emotive feel. Later accompanied by a big powerful and overdriven, 80's style bass synth and  mesmerizing female vocals, after the drop. A Catchy vocal dancefloor banger with all the euphoric qualities of a classic festival anthem.

[B] T-Trider - Alive:
Nu Venture Records regular and resident high energy Drum & Bass producer T-Trider returns for a second outing on the Elevation EP series. Starting with an arpeggiated melody alongside enticing but sinister sounding pads as the track progresses into an energetic DnB tune. A captivating and pulsating bassline give this one its distinguished feel, combined with a punchy beat and synthesised sampled vocals to emphasise the dancefloor nature of this track.

[C] KNGHT - Don't Wanna:
Following an appearance on the original Elevation EP, KNGHT returns for the 2nd installment with his track Don't Wanna. Conceived during the height of the 2020 pandemic and with an overwhelming desire to rave it's no surprise the resulting production transpired as a high tempo Dancefloor Drum & Bass track. Setting the tone by opening with smooth synths, as part of a melodic and enticing intro, before the barrage of suspense in the build up to the drop. Followed by an intense overload of energy provided by a solid driving bassline, pumping drums and a catchy melody.

[D] Kaizah - Scrubbin':
With a different approach to his regular style, new label artist Kaizah applies a heavier bass driven sound to bring you his maiden Dancefloor Drum & Bass floor filler, Scrubbin'. Taking centre stage are a combination of bouncy and melodic leads and a classic 80's style rhythmic bass, as Kaizah creates a track that pays homage to the energetic and synth dominated sounds that are indicative of the UK Dancefloor scene. Vinyl samples, that provided inspiration for the track's name, are the final element that binds the track together and completes Elevation 2 EP.

[A] Ellementhz - Smokin':
Ellementhz presents his first individual artist release on Nu Venture Records with Smokin' being his debut NVR EP. Returning to impose some additional Brazilian flair to the label Ellementhz opens the EP with the title track Smokin'. Dry beats and straight harmonics combine with an underground breakbeat influence and supernatural ambience to create this Drum & Bass roller.

[B] Ellementhz - Moon The Moon:
Moon the Moon owes its existence to an inspirationally clear night with a glistening full moon. Representing the effects of a shimmering moon dancing across the dark and expansive night sky, this Drum & Bass track features; lashings of forceful sub bass, mysterious pads and a distinctive and vibrant rolling groove throughout.

[C] Ellementhz - Panic Room:
The final track of the release is Panic Room, which the creation of, was influenced by the soundtrack to a panic based tv series. Replicating the organ from the series theme music Ellementhz uses this to produce the main loop for the track and set the atmospheric feel. Sharp drums and contrasting subtle hi hats work alongside disturbing vocal whispers and haunting screams, to achieve the effect of fear and panic, whilst closing out this dynamic EP from the South American producer.

''Inward, Hanzo and Randie'' team up for a the rework of ''Sellout''. Whilst remaining the ambiance of the original, a layer of sturdy sounds are added. ''Maztek'' uses his years of remix experience to create the tough sounding refix of ''Benga''.

[A] Perplex - Let Me Tell Ya:	
Nu Venture Records kick off 2021 with returning artist Perplex and his second EP on the label. Let Me Tell Ya opens the EP and showcases Perplex’s love for in your face Dancefloor Drum & Bass which becomes evident from the moment the beat begins. From the onset teasing vocal hooks work together with Trance inspired arpeggiators, to give the intro its momentum, before paving the way for the lead vocal which sets the tone for this track. As the vocal builds into the drop the arps are reintroduced before the arrival of a highly energetic and bouncy bass riff alongside tight crispy drums.

[B] Perplex - Staring Down The Barrel:
The title track of the EP Staring Down the Barrel, begins with a pitch bent synth within the intro, before intensifying to become the main focus and reveal the menacing intentions of this track. As the once prominent synth withdraws into the background, the lead vocal line then takes command for the build up to the drop. The spoken vocal adds suspense to the occasion as the build up progresses, before emerging as a dark rolling banger with a floor shaking bassline, coupled with aggressive punchy drums.

[C] Perplex - Fears Of The Night:
Perplex presents another signature bass heavy stomper by the name of Fears Of The Night. Commencing with a mischievous drum and mesmerising arp combination, with the addition of dark baselines and the introduction of a lead synth, that dominates early proceedings. The track progresses with the use of lashings of side-chained risers and white noise, before culminating into a drop that is destined to destroy dance floors with its lethal bass riff, hard hitting drums and the eventual re-emergence of  the catchy lead synth.

[D] Perplex - Beast Of Space:
Perplex closes out the EP with Beast Of Space, the final track continuing in a similar dark theme, as the intro begins with a catchy guitar riff coupled with techy stabs and enticing risers. The lead bassline is then gradually revealed whilst the heavy drums build momentum and are slowly faded out, before Beast Of Space drops into a tearing bass, crafted with big wobbles and teasing stabs to complete this dynamic Upfront Drum & Bass EP.
