The Call for Authenticity
Now more than ever the musicians in our culture would do us all a favor to step up and express themselves unfiltered to the world., rather than the same soulless and tired drivel we hear on the radio today. Authenticity in expression can go a long way in building unity among our culture. Music is a universal language that has the potential to unite all. But it takes an artist being uncompromisingly raw and unfiltered, to deliver fresh bread to the masses. Not boxed in by any regurgitated template, just pure raw creation. 

It seems it’s been long now that the popular music of our current time could do with an overhaul (along with everything else); a nice re-evaluation and refocusing. Away from bullshit temporal motivations….the boring shit: fame, money and status, (all the stuff we are programmed to think we want) to a simple and evolved compulsion to express what we our each moved to express musically, with no confining parameters at all and without any compromise. 

Bands like The Doors broke through the current template of their time by shutting off their minds and releasing their hearts from all bonds to the collective consciousness. They didn’t give a shit about genre, just the authentic expression of their own art. And like moths to a flame the people came and a new direction in music was forged.

Seems like a nice time for more of those to show up.

There's no doubt that Benzi is one of the most triumphant and prolific DJs on earth and a true master of the mixtape. Both his Girl Trapz and Get Right Radio series have achieved worldwide acclaim and praise from both fans and his contemporaries. There's no producer who wouldn't benefit from having their music showcased in the finely crafted and produced mixes. But that's not all that makes Benzi such a force in the world of electronic music, and verily, music in general. He's half of well known duo TWRK, with eSenTRIK and they racked up millions of streams with releases on Mad Decent and Capitol Records. BENZI then became the first resident DJ on Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1 and helmed his own show #BANGUERS with BENZI' that ran on Sirius/XM for three years.
