This sound is from my Shruti box. The Shruti box is a classical Indian instrument, sister to the harmonium. It has a beautiful drone sound that is created when the air is pushed through reeds. I constantly use this instrument to help hold down vocal improvisations, toning, and other singlings.

This recording has the C & G notes open, also known as a C5th.
