Since 2013 we have published an annual mixtape of exciting new music by Goldsmiths students and alumni. The mixtape is a great way for burgeoning and unsigned artists to get their music ​out there. For the listener, it's a brilliant source of fresh, unreleased sounds.

Once again, we have been bowled over by the response to our mixtape callout this year. The 2022 collection is as long, ambitious, varied, deeply conceptual and downright catchy as ever. NX Records is a record label, radio station and interdisciplinary workspace housed in the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, University of London.

The label was founded as a collaboration between Goldsmiths and Matthew Herbert's ever-experimental Accidental Records. In May 2013, we launched with an introductory mixtape and live performances at the Southbank Centre.

The label has continued to grow, releasing critically acclaimed music by Goldsmiths students and graduates, whilst hosting numerous workshops, events, and running a pop up record shop in New Cross.

NX has been managed by London artist, DJ and writer Richard Greenan, since 2018. In 2024, Accidental stepped aside from their NX duties, and Richard's own record label and NTS Radio show, Kit Records, began running NX in collaboration with Goldsmiths. 

The label's mission statement is to create a new model for the music industry, connecting exciting talent from the renowned creative hub of Goldsmiths – and the wider community of South East London – with the forward-thinking and collaborative Kit Records.

Our aim is to build connections between emerging artists, education, the industry and audiences. NX is a professional label that works alongside, not in opposition with, DIY artists.

FLOCO is a violinist, vocalist and producer who inhabits a world between the old and the new. Weaving remnants of her musical upbringing on English folk music through live electronics and experimental production, FLOCO explores the more abstract lands of Cyberfolk and Dream Pop.
