To mark 20 years since Craig David’s The Story Goes…, this reimagination of my favourite cut from the album brings a dark, skippy UKG edge. I wanted to breathe new life into a track that’s always meant a lot to me, keeping its timeless themes of love and loss at the heart of it. The warped, detuned vocals, jittery drum patterns, and swinging bassline reflect the song’s emotion in a new way, capturing the instability of a love that was never meant to last.

This remix is a tribute to the legendary era of 2-step garage, capturing the effervescent swing and its magnetic blend with rich, soulful samples and layering them over a bouncing, champagne groove, it celebrates the seamless partnership that defined the genre. Lynden David Hall was one of my biggest musical inspirations, and I hope this reimagining does justice to his legacy. RIP Lynden.

The original After You Fall is one of those rare songs that cuts deep, hitting you in all the places you didn’t know needed healing and pulling you into spaces you want to resist but ultimately have to face.

This version tries to achieve the same but from a fresh perspective. Don't be fooled by the skippy 2-step rhythm, there's darkness at the heart of the light.
