Named a ‘stellar edits provider’ by Mixmag and the ‘nu-disco don’ by Juno, Andy Buchan has become one of the leading names in the disco and edit scene. His music and edits have been played by BBC 6 Music, Greg Wilson, Optimo, Massive Attack’s Daddy G, Horse Meat Disco and Craig Charles, while Andy holds down residencies across Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh and Southport alongside regular club and festival bookings.

With over 200 releases across chart-topping releases on dozens of disco-fried labels, including Peppermint Jam, Hot Digits, Midnight Riot and Paper Disco, Andy launched his Hot Gorilla Records imprint in 2020 along with Conan The Selector. The label hit the ground running, with several Juno Download No.1s, multiple Traxsource Top 10s and four tracks in the Best of 2021 Beatport chart. That led to the Hot Gorilla funky monkeys becoming DJ support for The Brand New Heavies' sell-out UK tour. 

Andy’s own music has been picked up for reviews in DJ Mag and Mixmag, plus radio support from 6Music and Rinse FM and club and festival plays from big-name DJs, including Bicep, Claptone, Horse Meat Disco, Greg Wilson, Peggy Gou, Justin Robertson, Electric Chair and more. That support took an interesting turn when the British National Library Sound Archive asked him to enter his back catalogue into their music collection! 

His previous residences include Chow Down and Flight Club in Leeds, Inventery and Grosvenor in Manchester alongside regular guest slots at legendary Edinburgh club The Street and the Southport Disco Festival. Alongside that, Andy has played across the UK in recent years, warming up for Huey 6 Music, Craig Charles, Dr Packer, Groove Armada, Psychemagik, Hot Chip and headlining at gigs in Manchester, Birmingham, York, Dubai and Todmorden’s legendary Golden Lion pub. 

This is just the latest chapter in Andy’s career. After freelancing for Mixmag and training as a journalist, he moved to Dubai in 2004, working for Time Out Dubai before launching DJ Mag Middle East. He was a regular on the club and festival scene, first with his own long-running, award-winning nights and with long-term residencies at Pacha and Trilogy, alongside back-to-back bookings for Creamfields UAE. It was in Dubai that he cemented his open-genre, curveball DJ style by playing alongside a wide variety of DJs like Fatboy Slim, Mark Ronson, Basement Jaxx, Todd Terje, Norman Jay, Liam Gallagher, Feel My Bicep, Graeme Park and more.

Now back in the UK, he’s become a mainstay of the disco scene while his label Hot Gorilla Records continues to grow into one of the most exciting labels in the scene, including festival slots at Beatherder and Standon Calling.

Joe knows just how to entice a crowd. Whether he’s on the mic or behind the decks, he specialises in house and flexible with open format, meaning he always has the perfect selection for any occasion. He has entertained crowds of thousands at countless events across the UAE, most notably Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala, performing after Lois Fonsi. He has also DJed at the Dubai Rugby 7s, F1 Abu Dhabi, the Burj Khalifa and done various events as a Red Bull DJ.

As a music producer himself, he is immersed in the music. In 2018 Joe released a remix for ‘Consoul Trainin’ on Planet Works Record Label and has more music coming out soon!

Previously, he spent two years as a radio producer and presenter on the UAE’s only dance music station, 97.8 Dance FM.

Pimms Brooke grew up in North London, her interest in music was sparked by jazz, soul, funk, and iconic artists such as Etta James, Nina Simone, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion.

She enrolled in stage school and music college at an early age, honing her craft in the music business, as well as production and song writing, to then venture on and recording, writing and co-producing her EP Under The Layers, which has had major airplay on radio stations, BBC, Virgin and Radio 1. 
Pimms wrote all her lyrics, melodies and even co produced some songs for this EP.

Pimms has built an impressive profile in Dubai; her eclectic vocal style became a regular staple at some of the city’s most prominent venues, with performances at The Act, Pacha and shows at popular events like Fashion Forward, GQ Magazine and Formula 1. Pimms also became one of the first female artists to perform in Saudi Arabia, with famous artists such as – Mariah Carey, Sean Paul and Tiesto. She has also performed for celebrities such as Will Smith, Vin Diesel and Gordon Ramsey and appeared in Time Out Dubai, Cosmopolitan Magazine and the local Dubai newspapers.

Pimms is now back in London from her 7 year Dubai stint and is currently working on some new releases to drop very soon....
