Out from the US Marine corp, Michael Blu moved to Los Angeles where he started the rock band, Venus Pumping, barefoot on the sands of Venice Beach. As the fan base grew so did his venues. With an expression of almost dis-belief Michael coyly said, “We ended up playing every major venue in LA multiple times. We released our album ‘General Freakdom’ and then we immediately started going down hill.. Girls, drugs, differences..” And so after 5 years together they finally called it quits and Michael went solo. However, their last show, is where the font-man Michael hit the jack-pot. With a sparkle in his eyes, he remembers, “In the audience I saw this beautiful young woman who I ended up singing the entire show to… A new purpose appeared into my life.”

Michael had a new goal, a direction. He must now become the man worthy of such a woman.

Fast-forward 15 years, eight moves, four cities, two strong boys, A dog and cat, Michael has found home, family and purpose. Michael sits back and glances out the window, “The only constant thing in my life for me through the years has been my passion to write and produce music, and now, more than ever, my inspiration is exploding. Children and marriage add a whole other dimension and passion to songwriting.”   Michael chose to produce his latest solo albums “You're The One” and “Sing A New Love Song” with the intention to inspire his family to dance and sing, to feel good. With an ear to ear smile Michael laughs as you can almost see what he’s imaging, “It's working… Now it is my wish that my music inspires others to feel good.”
