"Señales" is an adventure of signals and how sometimes we wait for them and in other times we make them ourselves.
Sometimes signals are not to be trusted and in other times the signs, if discreet enough,
can mean something so profound it can leave us truly spellbound.
In times of beauty and in times of sorrow betwixt all the madness in between; these signs can lead, but the signals
we dare to make for ourselves to believe in can last a lifetime.
Trust can be a trap, and lies can be a purpose
but with Señales as a guide to perservere is the only footprints we leave behind.

The Colourless EP by Auckland native, Jon Sable, is a double single exhibiting Sable's musical background, bridging hip-hop, soul, funk, electronic and a little bit of everything else along the way. "Dust 2 Ashes" puts a hazy, laid back spin on the well versed house and techno sound, with its skippy hats and reverb rich keys lackadaisically floating about throughout. Not to mention our favourite Swedish duo, Mount Liberation Unlimited, on duty for a very unique remix.

Frits Wentink takes to his own Bobby Donny imprint to deliver a collaborative release with DJ Boring dubbed 'Wasted Years Of Pumping Iron'. The EP consists of three jacking and glitchy house track including the swinging, garage influenced deep house cut 'Chad Brothers'.

This exciting collab brings together two of the brightest talents to emerge from the underground in recent years. Frits with standout releases Wolf Music and Detroit Swindle's Heist, and Dj Boring developing a cult-like following with releases on Shall Not Fade's sud-label Lost Palms, E-Beamz and the Let's Play House sub-label LPH WHITE. With that, this forthcoming EP is not to be overlooked.

Cologne’s resident conjurer Hodini steps up for his second solo EP on WOLF Music Recordings. Bringing elements from his hip hop background into this unique five tracker, Hodini dusts off long forgotten cuts, sampled with that MPC chopped graininess, blending lo-fi vocal sound bites with deft jazz loops, all adding a distinct, textured edge to his work.

‘Velved Groove’ and ‘Special Shoutout’ kick things off, snapping in funk fills and skipping guitar riffs behind a concoction of hazy spirals that transfix from the off. The former is an uptempo, twisted, jazz club house jam and the latter a bubbling voyage through the afterhours, bourbons flowing and faces flying from every corner.

A master of misdirection, Hodini also moonlights as one of Germany’s leading underground hip hop producers HulkHodn, proving he can flip styles and meld genres with ease. Featuring his alter ego, ‘Doggo Content’ is his nod to this - a crackling slo-mo trip through the intoxicated mind, soundtracked by stretched vocal snippets, wading bass notes and a crunching snare. 

Two of the harder-hitting club tracks close out the EP, both focused around hypnotic bassline carousels and looping layers. ‘Where’s The Wine’ interjects Rhodes flickers with bongo rhythms and unsettling laughes, as ‘One4Fries’ marries off-kilter, piano stabs alongside jazzy flourishes and fizzing percussion.

Dive into the fantastic and jazzy-disco house influenced world of KX9000 ! A year after the release of his EP Trouver X acclaimed by Mixmag or XLR8R, followed by another maxi called Kaiju & Features on the German label Blaq Numbers - on which appeared some of the new French house scene’s most essential producers such as Tour-Maubourg, Mangabey and ALVA - the young Parisian has emerged as one of the most remarkable producers of the moment.
He is now back on Pont Neuf with Ultra Loisir. Halfway between a bustling French house and Japanese city-pop influences, KX9000 offers a delicious 5-tracker, which can be tasted without moderation. A true collection of musical games with varied influences and singular production balanced between house sounds, electro funk and touches of nu-jazz.
«Pouvoir Magique», here premiered put an end to this new maxi as it started : with heady melodies and basslines that leave no other choice to his listener than to dance endlessly.

Västkransen Records is a vinyl label releasing new house and disco from producers in Stockholm's dance music scene. On the inaugural release of Västkransen Variations, Salary Boy and Ari Bald team up to explore four shades of house. While both these Stockholm producers have been hailed for their tasty sample-based dance tracks, they now reveal a deeper side of themselves.

On the A-side, Salary Boy gives us “Newland Court”, whose bassline and jazzy soundscapes might bring a certain Larry Heard to mind. However, the production is a timeless piece of house beauty. On his remix, Ari Bald infuses the track with punchy breakbeats and wild arpeggios.

On the AA-side, Ari continues with “Daytrippin’”, a retro-futuristic saga which plays out in a dreamlike, almost druggy, haze. Salary Boy then closes the record with his own interpretation of the track, stripping it down it into a powerful four-on-the-floor spinner.
