After a series of singles and his 2020 album ‘Sickla’, Opolopo returns to Local Talk with a rework collection where he was given free reign, to 'tweak' his personal faves from the Local Talk vaults. Over these 10 tracks, Opolopo tweaks cuts from Jamie 3:26 & Masalo, the late great Soulphiction, Kiko Navarro, DirtyTwo and Soul Renegades. As always, the soul is ever-present. Musically you'll find it all, from deep house, to disco, to jazzy beats and electronica. Opolopo lays down his trademark sound and infectious grooves, with additional production tweaks and arrangements to deliver this monster package.

With a discography of releases dating back to 1991, New York native Henry Maldonado credits his home city as inspiration and motivation for his art. As part of the House 2 House trio on Strictly Rhythm, Maldonado and crew would fire out a relentless assault of New York style sampled and deep house tracks coveted by New York mainstays Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Tony Humphries, Roger Sanchez, Timmy Regisford to name but a few. 

Today Henry produces and DJs as Son Of Sound and continues to push the limits of the underground by taking his knowledge of the past, combining it with a deep love for the city he grew up in and a penchant for quality underground club culture. 

Henry’s debut on Local Talk "True Indeed EP" is nothing less than a proper power package. Vinyl release out in two weeks, digital to follow early September.
