New french label "in Any Case" starts up with a various artists showcasing 5 producers from all around the world: Detroit producer Peter Croce opens the ep with a soulful disco edit followed by a groovy filtered house cut by german Martin Hayes. On the flip side, Pascal Viscardi from Geneva goes deep with an heavy kick on this highlighted track "Fuorigrotta", followed by "I Did This At Work" a tasty house track with an efficient bassline and subtle samples produced by french guy Malouane, G2S & Ibn Sabaa also from France close the release with an abstract hip hop joint! The crowd gathered to observe the terrain. Very soon bikers from all across the world would fly down these cliffs at lightening speed, it was no simple feat. The music blared ecstatically in the daylight glow. Great speakers stood perched overlooking the descent, designed to motivate and inspire. As the names of each rider rang out there was one whom had not nominated himself as present. He was an unknown outsider, untitled and unafraid. The race was on.

Real D. burst on the scene last Summer with his breakthrough track 'Rhodes That'. One year on and the release is still in high demand, fetching upwards of £50 on the cogs.

Matt & Stu were invited to play at his party in his hometown of Bordeaux late last year and the idea of an EP for WOLF was discussed over the best red wine and cheese the Southwest of France had to offer.

In a strange but true story a 3D glasses company in Silicon Valley called Real D came knocking and with the threat of legal action, his name had to be changed & Real J. was born.

After two hugely successful outings on Distant Hawaii, Hidden Spheres cruises into Lobster Theremin waters with four sun soaked and heart meltingly infectious slices of his trademark soothing and late night house. 

EP opener ‘It Ain’t Easy’ sets the mood in a deeply meditative style. Rolling and natural drum patterns intertwine with playful melodies and soothing vocals, slowly shifting the sand across the beach as the sun slides over the horizon.

‘IshOnSax’ takes its lead from the windy city, a love story to 90s Chicago house, featuring some of the most contagious saxophone ever laid to wax courtesy of Ishmael. As the evening settles in and the office lights grow dim, the neon and intrigue of the night take hold.

The B-side kicks into gear with ‘The Feels’ an understated and raw house number that wears its heart on its chest. As a new dawn breaks the urgency of life stirs once again, sound-tracked by a never-ending rollercoaster of emotion that blankets the earth. 

Closing out the release is ‘It’s Gonna Last’ a melting pot of swirling sounds, field recordings and playful drum programming. A street performer takes their final bow as hoards of busy humans hurry to their next meeting spot.

Västkransen Records is a vinyl label releasing new house and disco from producers in Stockholm's dance music scene. On the inaugural release of Västkransen Variations, Salary Boy and Ari Bald team up to explore four shades of house. While both these Stockholm producers have been hailed for their tasty sample-based dance tracks, they now reveal a deeper side of themselves.

On the A-side, Salary Boy gives us “Newland Court”, whose bassline and jazzy soundscapes might bring a certain Larry Heard to mind. However, the production is a timeless piece of house beauty. On his remix, Ari Bald infuses the track with punchy breakbeats and wild arpeggios.

On the AA-side, Ari continues with “Daytrippin’”, a retro-futuristic saga which plays out in a dreamlike, almost druggy, haze. Salary Boy then closes the record with his own interpretation of the track, stripping it down it into a powerful four-on-the-floor spinner.
