Adam Sambach-Swomley was born and raised in Florida. He majored in instrumental music at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, FL. From 2012 to 2016, he attended The Boston Conservatory, where he earned a B.M. in music composition. Adam has had the privilege of directing, coordinating and composing for several different musical ensembles during his time. He has particularly enjoyed studying Gregorian chant, Medieval motets and Renaissance madrigals. Incorporating some of the aesthetics of these early styles of music through a contemporary, albeit somewhat conservative lens has led to the development of his distinct musical voice. 

Hello, I am just a beginner/solo artist that is trying my best to make music that all would listen to. Hopefully my music makes it into the ears of many people one day. I'm just a basic riffer with no knowledge of building complete songs. I lack the experience of being in a band to grow bigger with others. So, until the day I have a band......I will keep trying to do it all myself.  Hope you enjoy my simple yet fun pieces of music. Thanks for stopping in to visit my page!!! Idiotory is multi-media project started in January,2017. The main focus of the project is music, but it's visual presentation is also important.

Etymology
The name Idiotory is a mix of the words idiot and factory alluding to a factory manufacturing idiots/idiotry.

Band
Idiotory is a classic rock quintet, consisting of vocalist, solo guitar, bass, drums and keys, accompanied by The Screwed Souls' Philharmonic. The music is created entirely on various software without any live recordings.

Genre
Idiotory's style is a unique mixture of dark ambient, dark industrial, gothic, classic metal, symphonic music and everything else that inspires the author. The main concept of the author is that there is no bad music, just bad implementation.

Visual style
The visual style of the band is inspired by steampunk and gothic aesthetics.

These songs are 90% all me playing everything into a Boss BR-1180CD. Every once in awhile I'll have someone help me out on a song. But mostly it's just me playing & singing everything (so now you know who to blame! Lol.). 99% of my songs are my own original compositions. I never considered myself a really good musician, but music has been a huge part of my life & has been great therapy to keep me sane in troubled times. I feel really lucky to be able to share my music & I really appreciate & enjoy the feedback. Thank you, take care, & love one another!

In my opinion, before being a technique of writing and return of sounds, music has to carry the emotion and free the imagination. My musical preferences cover a rather wide spectre. Indeed considering that the musical currents are only marks in the landscape, I do not hesitate to redraw their borders to dare improbable marriages or unexpected meetings. Rick Wakeman, Rick Emerson, Ray Manzarek, Klaus Shulze, Kraftwerk, Devo, Frank Zappa and many others else contributed to awaken my musical sensibility. Today still, they remain for me of the major references.
I like quite particularly the electronic music (EM) because, offering an infinite sound pallet, EM allows to break some proprieties, to widen horizons and to support the imagination.

My musical creations are realized and interpreted by means of  synthesizers Arturia Orgin, King Korg, Rolland Gaîa, Yamaha and various virtual synthesizers operated with Arturia Laboratory 61 and Factory 32.
