His father was a fisherman and his mother was a well-known chemist in Sweden. The yearning for risk, new sensations and experiments intertwined with the inherent willpower of Karl Marcel.

In his incomplete age of 17, he made his first trip around the world - on a bicycle. This journey opened a new life for Karl - an adventure traveler. He crossed the steppes of Central Asia on horseback: from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, made a foot crossing from Siberia to India, but the harsh North Sea remained the main passion of Karl Marseilles. An air balloon pilot and a long voyage captain, he made two round-the-world voyages, crossed the North Sea alone, and also made a ski transition in the polar night to the Pole of Relative Inaccessibility in the Arctic Ocean as part of an expedition.

In his travels, he never uses special, modern, technical equipment and moves completely autonomously.

During the time that Karl Marseille does not travel, he devotes himself to music, in which he immerses us in his sensations from his dangerous travels, talks about his experiences and discoveries, preferring to work in places that are difficult for people to reach: in his secluded home in the northern part of the Norwegian fjords, or in the mountainous part of Siberia .
