Born Christoff Emmanuel Stewart The Guyanese, born singer is a straight shooter when it comes to his music and his life. After growing up in a tough neighbourhood, Chris was determined to make a life for himself filled with better circumstances and always saw music as a means to do so. Being raised in a Guyanese household meant that reggae and dancehall were among some of his first musical influences along with R&B and soul. However everything would change dramatically after he heard the likes of 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Jay Z and Eminem 
for the very first time. 

Late 90s and early 2000s Hip Hop opened up an entirely new world of music for Chris. “Hip-Hop made me feel something that I’ve never felt before”, he recalls. This was the beginning of American Hip Hop’s reign on mainstream popular culture and influence on the emerging generations and Chris Emmanuel was no exception. These are influences that he has carried throughout his life and still to this day impact the kind of music that he chooses to create. 

He immigrated to Ontario, Canada during this period of his life and couldn’t help but feel like he was somewhat of a “fish out of water”. He was thrown into a completely unfamiliar environment at an extremely pivotal time in his life and he began to really seek an escape from his current situation.
 
Like some of his favourite musical inspirations, Chris makes music that he hopes will impact a generation. He wants fans and listeners to immerse themselves fully into the experience that is listening to his music. With brutally honest tracks like “I need you” and cold-hearted bops like “Don’t Luv You” Chris is on his way to doing what he set out to do - changing the music scene for the better.
