Celebrating 40 years in music and entertainment, three-time GRAMMY® award-winning drummer, composer, bandleader and producer, Carrington has played with just about every giant in modern jazz (Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz). She’s lead the Mosaic Project with an assortment of vocalist (Cassandra Wilson, Esperanza Spalding, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Carmen Lundy), has performed on over 100 recordings and has been an international role model to young women and men through her teaching and touring career.
 
In 2013, Ms. Carrington made history becoming the first woman to win a GRAMMY® Award in the Best Jazz Instrumental Album category for her Concord release, Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue, which paid homage to Duke Ellington, Charles Mingus and Max Roach. Ms. Carrington’s production and songwriting collaborations with artists such as Gino Vannelli, Peabo Bryson, Siedah Garrett and Gregoire Maret have created memorable works, most notably her production of Dianne Reeves’ 1997 GRAMMY®-nominated album, That Day, as well as Dianne Reeves’ 2014 GRAMMY® Award-winning album, Beautiful Life.
