Graziano Capezzoli, the other half of the 80s Italo duet Edy Band, is back with a brand new track called “Toward The Light”. The idea for the track came from Juan Segundo and Kimmo Salo, but the final result wouldn’t be the same without Graziano’s wonderful work for the vocals, as a composer and the singer. The goal was to produce something that would have the soul of the Tuscan small budget Italo productions, something that would capture the Tuscan Italo sound of the mid 80s. The vinyl has two different mixes with slightly different sounds and mix, and the “New Mix” also has lovely female back vocals by Anita Campagnolo (better known as a vocalist of “New Sin”).

The vinyl is pressed on black vinyl only, in a traditional way.

Editor's note:  The master BASF cassette was decomposing and the entire concert had to be stitched together from short sections of the recording that would play a few moments and would squeal to a stop.  The tape has started to flake slightly adding occasional low frequency clicks that are barely audible. Some slight tape bleed-through (from previous wrap) was evident in some loud passages.  Some light hiss reduction was applied. Jack O'Neill's microphone placement captures the organ well, but not the amplified announcements between selections.  I did not attempt to raise the level of the announcements as it would be distracting fading noise ratio up and down between musical selections. Special thanks to Chris Nichols and Mark Herman for assistance in bringing this to the internet for your listening pleasure.

Following on from the success of Jorkes's Sweet Dream EP on the influential Live At Robert Johnson label, a wealth of innovative electronic talents all serve up their own remixes of it including Paris Böhm, Alinka, ROTCIV, Hard Ton, and more.

German-born but Austria-based Jorkes runs the Freeride Millenium label with her muse, lover, and partner Daniel Rajcsanyi aka. Paris Böhm. Her provocative work centralizes gender, queer and egalitarian attitudes, and her Sweet Dreams EP showed the many different sides of her sound.

It is Radio8000 resident ParisBöhm who offers the first remix of 'CDEvaLo'. It's slow and sensuous, with intimate spoken word vocals and lithe synths while the bubbling melodies add color. Next up is Ukraine-born but Berlin-based Alinka, whose hard-hitting sounds have come on the likes of Rekids and Crosstown. Her version of 'Sweet Dream' is uplifting and glossy with busy arps rising up over prickly drums. Acid gurgles add extra texture to this classy floor filler. Freeride Millenium associates Snecker aka Berghain resident DJ nd_baumecker and musician, singer, songwriter, producer, performer, and DJ Snax tackle the same track. In their hands, it becomes a steamy house cut with floating synth motifs and crisp claps over a tantalizing beat that never stops building.

ROTCIV is another Freeride Millenium artist who has a cultured and colorful sound built on alternating arpeggios, automated synth melodies, and weird vocals. His remix of 'You Will Be Mine' is a zoned-out vocal disco chugger with a rugged bassline. The cosmic rays up top and silky arps help the whole track take off. Italian duo and accomplished disco queens Hard Ton are all about hi-nrg beats and screaming acid bass whenever they release on Freeride Millenium or the likes of Toy Tonics. They remix 'You Will Be Mine' in typically high-impact fashion as crashing hits and drums pump the party underneath astral synths and libidinous vocals. Experimental Berlin art trio New Hook then step up to rework 'Robot Lover' into something beautifully atmospheric and melancholic with thoughtful chords over nu-disco grooves. This package is completed with a final fantastic Форм Remix of 'CDEvaLo' that adds yet another perspective.
