My Pal Kee and I ended up in a 24 minute modular to machinedrum RAM machine hole. Too long too even listen back to with getting snorzy. Rather then get all edity and arrange-y I time remapped it to just under 3 min. Perfect radio pop song. ;-)

Rene sequencer to Anit-OSC and E350, split to MachineDrum IN and Intelejel uStep/VCA/Adrenalinn Patch + like, nine one-hitters.

Non Modular Nerds/un-Ambient Noise Aficionados possible boredom ahead...

I present the E-350 dressed up like a lil ole standalone synth/sequencer. Ish. Messin with a one module patch in m'eurorack
Listenin to XY OUT - and maybe some radio interference.
 XY OUT to Y MORPH and "out".Z OUT to MORPH X and to FM. Hit record and commenceda wigglin. 
Startin out with:
OSC - LOW
ALL knobs fully CCW
WAVE BANK C
Differn combos for X Y and Z knobs create differn patterns n sounds. CORSE n FINE knobs control tempo as does FM somewhat. Checked out patterns onBANKS A and B. Cheated by flipping the e350 expander glitch switch. Was psyched. Got cool sounds on OSC - MID. OSC - HIGH made variations of the fart sound. Cut down under 4 min cause I'm just that kind a guy.


Just the One Please - E350

Often thinking of working seriously on a way more ambient project with LSF, never getting around to it. I guess I'll just post sketches. I was trying to make a funky synth-y beat with the modular but ended up with this. Hmm... maybe a few moments of funkyness. Lots of ripe bass fruit. I started with 15 min on raw know wiggling and cut it down to this. I'd like to pull 2 more minutes out but can't decide where yet. Anyway, Here's the recipe: Triggering Ch.1 on Maths with RCD red then running the CV into Sound of Shadows delay. That is CV-ing a VCA with the E350 in and then on to QMMG ch.1 as LPF. The same Maths Channel is hitting the wave Env on the Anit-Oscillator which goest into the SEM20 and then into QMMG ch.2 That channel is in LPG mode getting triggered by RCD green channel. QMMG ch.3 & 4 are fed Wiard oscillators 2 square waves being FM-ed by the Anti's triangle. Those channels are in LPG mode as well being triggered by Maths' chanel 1. uLFO is synced to the master clock and modulating the Freq of SEM20 and the YMorh of E350

Often thinking of working seriously on a way more Ambient project with LSF, never getting around to it. I guess I'll just post sketches. I'm pleased with this atmospheric guitar-y sounding piece done with m'Eurorack modular. Listen to it driving in the rain and enjoy "instand sad film score" The Recipe: Maths is going into A-156 Quantizer then into a Z3000. The 156 trig out drives ADSR-VCA and then all of it goes through a Sound of Shadows delay. I'm pretty sure it is straight out of the box to tape- maybe a few edits to keep it from becoming too too long.

Trapse Murrily

Messin round with driving a modular setup from a lil yella kaossilator through an A-119. One track improvised in and then cut down. It starts very washy but then a buncha rhythm comes round.

Patch Description:
The kaossilator goes through a Polivox Filter who's CV is being sequenced through René. The Filter goes through an A-136 distortion and into a Wasp filter who's CV is the envelope out of the A-119. The Gate out goes into the René to step it along whenever the volume gets loud enough. René's QCV goes to an E350 1v/oct and uLFO in OCS mode. E350 to VCA getting an envelope triggered from René's x gate. X gate is also getting divided so every other triggers a little QMMG "both" ping of the sine on uLFO. Messing with the filters, Gate threshold, and what I'm playing on the kaosillator. More rhythmic then I'd planned.

Round About

Nappy time... I played at this event called Neon Marshmallow last weekend and somehow became determined not to do one of those overwhelming masculine drone things. Instead I used more found sound and samples. It didn't go over very well. Everybody else kinda did more like this.

PATCH NOTES:
E350 XY and Z outs, morphed off LFO split into two bandpass filters each CVing off Dalek Modulator outs. Sawtooth from Wired OSC through Maths Ch.1 patched to subharmonic generator then filtered through Polivoks Band pass. Delay. 

Slithers

Spent a while with m'pal Gabe going bananas on Phonogene the other day. Decided to track something this morning. It got kinda scary. Sorry. I bet those post industrial modular types would like it. I've got my Phonogene in this magic skiff- 1 Maths, 1 Phonogene, 1 Doepfer clock divider, 1 Tiptop z2040, and 1 René It does so much with just a clock source and some audio for Phonogene. Amazing for synced fancy type stuff. I'll post some "disco" uses in a few days. This is that plus some Wiard Oscillator hum and (gasp) a kick/snare. Oh yeah and some delay-verb.



Good Gracious

Messing around with this great new Makenoise Echophon Eurorack Module. E350 getting LPGed rhythmically goes into the Echophon. Really loving feeding it a clock and removing it cyclically, it trys to keep sync, then you can hear it get confused and loosing it then finding it again and locking back in. Alternately I'm applying "freeze" which locks the delay buffer as a loop which often ends up grabbing the bits just between steady clock and confusion. Machinedrum and an FMed uLFO as OSC backing it up.
