After the release of the ‘Unlock The Box’ LP by Philipp Gorbachev on PG TUNE in summer 2016, which was premiered live in Russia and Ukraine, it is now time to ‘Remix The Box’. Please welcome four exceptional remixes by @IngaMauer, @Menchess, @Obgon and Nikita @Zabelin.

Obgon aka Andrew Lee is one half of Interchain, a live band from Moscow. He represents the raw street sound of a new generation of Russian born artists, who create dance vibes beyond comfortable BPM zones and common club music references. Take a ride through Moscow’s dusty highways to squatting spot Rabiza with Obgon’s Road Trance Version of Orbit, a track initially dedicated to endless planetary spinning.

Masses over masses try themselves at being a DJ and in the production of techno. Being a newcomer in this overcrowded market doesn't seem appealing at first sight. Putting in a lot of effort to establish one's reputation is not everyone's cup of tea. To stand out of the masses one must buckle down or have the proper Vitamin B. When Vitamins are lacking, what especially counts are a strong will and persistence. Those are guarantors for the opportunity to exhibit one's talent eventually. The rise of Krenzlin followed this principle on one of the surest Newcomer-Floors in the world. After Sebastian Krenzlin started DJing in 2003, it took several years for him to eventually be discovered as a newcomer after his participation at the Tresor Award of Pacou in 2009. Since he played in the Tresor for the first time in September 2010, he is counted among the steady Ensemble of Berlin's legendary club.
 With the series of events „New Faces“ and three allies he forms a platform for the performance of new faces. Every first Wednesday in the month he starts his own special event under this flag seeking for new talents who impersonate this spirit.
 Even as a producer Krenzlin build up a reputation since 2011. If one reads the list of labels under which he has released since, it is hard to believe that such a fantastic discography can be formed in this short amount of time. With Synewave, BCR, Mastertraxx Records, Slap Jaxx or IF?Records the best pools for exceptional, underground profiles of techno-acts of the last years string together. In the spring of 2012 a co-production with 88uw and Synewave followed and came like a bombshell exactly like the one countless times before in the Tresor...

Mix Series #09 - KRENZLIN

Perc Trax returns to the dance floor after the political firestorm that was Perc's 'Bitter Music' with the debut release on the label from the Netherlands' Ghost In The Machine. The Perc and therefore Perc Trax name stems from the word 'percussion' and these three drum-focused tracks sum up the label's mission perfectly. 

Rarely appearing away from their own Genosha Basic imprint this EP hits as hard as anything on Perc Trax in recent years and along with recent releases from Ansome and Scalameriya ushers in a new wave of artists and a distinct new chapter in the Perc Trax story.

'The Holy Grill' commands the whole of the A-side and charges forward until a Reese led breakdown gives you a moment to pause for breath. 

The B-side contains two percussive workouts that have enough movement and development to them to elevate them above simple drum tools. 

As B2 track 'PSKDT's locked groove loops endlessly (a first for Perc Trax) it is clear this EP is a hard-hitting statement of intent from a duo you should be hearing a lot more from in the near future.
