Taran & Lomov (@bogdan-taran) for 15 years has been deep into everything connected to music: they run @ambermuse Records, radio production, party organizing and record label company, and devotedly bringing electronic music to people via their online mag TestPress.news, and international radio show (in Latvia, Estonia and Moscow on FM). They are the core members of electronic music @under_festival team in Riga. Besides Amber Muse Records Taran & Lomov (a.k.a. Bogdan Taran and Max Lomov) have released their music and remixes with @runemark, W&O Street Tracks, Monique Musique, @locorecords, SpaceWalker, Room with a View to mention a few. Their three-tracker “Pravo” EP dropped on the iconic @ovumrecordings run by the legendary @joshwinkofficial in 2020, and this July they delivered next Taran & Lomov x Queer On Acid “New Path” EP to the same label – couple of tracks from it featured on this mix. They also produce under other monikers Queer On Acid (Takeout, Ovum) and Phonetica (Kings Street Sounds).

Straight from the Riga underground, Taran & Lomov take this week’s episode of RISE, 5 Mag’s weekly DJ mix series.

From Latvia, Taran & Lomov are a dynamic DJ and production duo working together for the last two decades. Their label, Amber Muse, has served as a platform for events, radio broadcasts and an outlet for their own productions, which under this moniker and Queer On Acid have also appeared on Ovum, Kneaded Pains and other imprints.

In October Taran & Lomov released their debut album. Semper Supra is a superb 9 track collection, ranging from analog electronica to minimal, raw techno amped up by a persistently pleasant electro buzz. Exceptionally well produced, Semper Supra is out now on Amber Muse.

We've been into electronic music for more than 20 years now, and we love its different genres. So we produce and play under different monikers: Queer on Acid for warehouse acid tracks, Phonetica for deeper house, our main Taran & Lomov project for anything non-typical and electronic – the blend of broken drums, electro, techno, acid, house etc. This mix reflects our mood in the COVID-19 lockdown days: dark, a bit angry and still with a lot of energy.
