This collection was explored by @tadan127 — a creator and the driving force behind @area127 label. His path to music wasn’t straightforward. Starting with Ableton in school, he spent years feeling stuck, unable to find satisfaction in his creations. The turning point came when he got his hands on hardware — synthesizers and drum machines reignited his joy of making music.

Tadan’s creative process is almost entirely hardware-based. He values physical interaction with sound — shaping it through touch, uncovering unexpected forms and structures. His music is energy in motion, both driving and hypnotic.

SUBSTANCES became another playground for him, where a few standout sounds formed the foundation of a new composition. “Hard Is For The Lovest People” is a rhythm that carries you away, playing with discovered textures and unexpected sonic twists.

Roaring de Helena Markos es un símbolo de energía femenina, fuerza interior y empoderamiento. Es el sonido de esta fuerza que va despertando lenta pero ferozmente, transformando todo lo que la rodea. También roaring es una representación sonora de la sanación física, mental y sexual. La pieza surgió en tiempos de profundo cuestionamiento, cuando una cantidad significativa de energía desconocida comenzó a manifestarse. A medida que avanza, se puede escuchar cómo este poder se desata gradualmente, produciendo un rugido intenso, que sacude todo lo que conocemos y todo lo que existe.

Mannequin Records is proud to announce a new press of Decadance "On And On (Fears Keep On)", one of the most iconic underground Italo-wave track ever.

Produced by Franco Rago & Gigi Farina, the masterminds behind cult italo disco projects ‘Lectric Workers, Wanexa, Expansives, Atelier Folie, Peter Richard and many more, the single was originally released in 1983 by Proto Records. 

Permeated by a dark a eerie synths, a perfectly programmed Roland TR-808 and an outstanding analog production, "On and On (Fears Keep On)" belongs to what we like to define "dark italo disco" or "italo wave". Here's there's an extra touch of cosmic / interstellar feeling, sharing the same feelings (and the same synthetic hardware) of "Spacer Woman". Not a intergalactic travel this time, but the wait for somebody to come from the sky.

The best year for Italo Disco music from a true Italo lover's standpoint is without a doubt 1983. The list is endless and really impressive. We could mention Gaznevada, N.O.I.A., Kano, Finzy Kontini, Gary Low, Gazebo, Righeira.. but let's keep the focus more in the "underground" hits:  Mr. Flagio, Charlie, Casco, B.W.H., Roberto Onofri & Dee Jay Program Band, Amin Peck, Paul Paul, Fred Ventura, International Music System, Kirlian Camera, My Mine and, to cut the long story short, Decadance.
