ILL PHIL aka Phil Dolman has been DJ'ing for almost 18 years now, having played all over the world Phil is no stranger to the business. He has been part of a few other projects prior to this, he worked with the super producer Will Bailey AKA Lowsteppa for 3 years. Together they gave you 'Bass Weazal' & 'Punk Rolla' These projects saw Phil tour the States, and see most of Europe and even go as far as South Korea.

Radio 1 and Capital FM, KISS FM & many more have supported a lot of his productions, and continue to do so.

Phil also hosted a show called ‘The Certified Jackin Takeover’ on Grant Nelson’s the D3ep Fm network. This was a monthly show that goes out all over the world, and reaches a vast amount of listeners.

Recently Phil has decided to stay his hand at the more bassy sounding music currently known as 'House & Bass'  or  'Jackin House'  With over 100 solid tunes to his name, he is a driving force in the UK scene playing all over the country every week.

In early 2013 Phil joined the prestigious 'Certified Jackin' brand. He now does 6 mixtapes a year which achieve huge listenership's, exceeding well into the 100's of thousands of views & downloads. He also runs parties at the famous ‘Lightbox’ Club in London with ‘Certified Jackin’ which have been a huge success. 

2018 was a crazy year for Phil, seeing him play all over the country and over seas. Phil took the stage at many clubs &festivals.  2019 is set to be his biggest yet, with planned tours in Canada & Germany already, plus some other exciting things in the pipeline. Along with a very busy UK schedule, it’s going to be an amazing year for him. There will also be the release of 5 new exclusive track to mark his final year producing!

Phil is getting great support from the crowds and gaining a keen following from the scenes main heads, so if you go to one of his shows… expect a high energy set, packed full of exclusive tracks!

It's a bright future for the young DJ with plenty of new tunes in the pipeline and some great shows lined up.

Certified Jackin was formed in 2011 with the intention of taking the big-bass “jackin house” sound that was taking over the North of England and the Midlands and deliver to a wider audience. This was achieved via a simple YouTube channel which quickly, and slightly unexpectedly, became a massive success, harnessing close to 100,000 subscribers and over 25 million views. The sound we delivered was greatly received throughout the United Kingdom and across the globe.
 
Over the following years, we helped promote and intensify the early careers of well-respected artists who featured heavily under the CJ name. Artists such as Hannah Wants, Chris Lorenzo and of course, our head honcho: ILL PHIL, amongst many others. Their meteoric rise through the music scene has, along with other artists and DJs brought underground House music to the forefront of the dance music world, specifically the ‘Jackin’, ‘Bass’ and ‘Tech House’ genres.
 
We host events across the United Kingdom, mainly at the prestigious Lightbox in London where we have hosted some of the best in the business: Endor, The Wideboys, Tom Bull, Rich Pinder, Skapes, Martin Ikin and others. We have taken Certified to Dublin with Tom Zanetti, Tom Garnett and Nick Hannam. We’ve also graced Tank in Sheffield, Insomnifest in Leeds, Manchester, Rotherham, Maidstone and Dover.
 
ILL PHIL’s world-famous Mixtapes have amassed millions of plays on SoundCloud and our debut album ‘Certified Jackin: Underground House Music’ cracked the Top 10 of the iTunes dance chart in mid-2014.
 
Our sound has naturally changed over time, but our values remain the same. We aim to deliver high energy, feel good, bass-laden house music with a twist. Full frontal, underground beats.

Been round from way back playing garage nation, garage classics to name a few with spells within the bassline scene.

I grew up around music where my Dad and Brother were both in sounds, I started messing around with music in early 1994 and that's when i got my first set of Decks. A couple of guys from school and I set up a 'sound' called Thunderforce and we played Swing, Soul, Ragga and Jungle. We played at loads of house parties and venues - alongside the Heartless Crew on many occasions. In 1995 I got a chance to MC with DJ Fax on Rude FM (104.3) and that was alongside the MC's Ranking and Spee. In that year I got a chance to work in Kid Andy's studio where I got to make my first Drum and Bass track that was released on the "Upfront Records" label. In 1997 Lady Legs introduced me to the new sound that was around, called 'Garage'. Freek was the main station that I listened to and of course I would always lock into the shows of Maddness and EZ. I was lucky that a mate of mine asked me to MC for him on his show on Mission FM....that is the great DJ Colin I. We built up a good show and fan base and alongside the Lady Legs we became the "Fantastic Three". I joined Vocal Fusion where I got advice from the MC Creed and he put me in touch with PSG who introduced me to Eli. From that point in my life things moved very quickly up the ladder....Eli and I made our first track "Pump", which got signed to an underground record label. After that we did "It's not right" using the Whitney Houston vocals, which got playlisted on Kiss FM. All of this led us to quite a bit of remix work....In 2001 Eli and I were very lucky to work with Colour Girl to make a track called "Mas Que Nada", which entered the National Top 40 music chart. We also released a mixed CD called "Garage Anthems Summer 2K". Then we collaborated with JJ Lewis who owns Southside Records to make the "Storm on the Southside" CD. Eli and i then started the "Marvelis" Recordings record label which has had 12 releases and Shut IT records which Iam currently running. For the latter part of my career I have DJ-ed on various underground stations. Check out my weekly show on Mixlr every Sunday 4-6pm  'The Marvel Show'
