BIOGRAPHY 

Eric Small (NO)

A true veteran of the electronic underground, Eric Small has been shaping the scene for more than three decades. DJ, producer, and founder of Small Records (Oslo), his sound flows seamlessly between techno, house, and minimal—always with a deep groove and timeless energy.

Eric’s musical journey began back in 1986, and he quickly made a name for himself as Small MC with the legendary rap crew Warlocks. In 1993 he co-founded Valuable Scamps, who famously opened for Naughty By Nature at Oslo Spektrum—becoming the first rap group ever to perform on that iconic stage.

By the early 90s, his love for house and techno took over, and from 1991 onward it became his artistic home. Since then, Eric has performed at some of the most important club destinations worldwide—Ibiza, Miami (WMC), Berlin, Barcelona (Off Sonar), Andorra (Horizon Festival), Gran Canaria (Space residency, 1997)—bringing his raw and hypnotic sets to thousands of dancers.

In 2009, he co-created Grooveyard Festival with Frederico Fiasco, which ran successfully until 2012, closing with a powerful edition at Latter, Aker Brygge, featuring heavyweights like Pig & Dan, Martin Dawson (RIP), M.E.M.O, and Attaboy.

On stage, Eric often teams up with his wife and DJ partner Carina Helen. Together they’ve brought explosive energy to clubs and festivals across Europe—rocking crowds in Spain, Andorra, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo, Denmark, Berlin, and of course, Ibiza.

Eric is also the creative force behind Apodyopsis, a live project with Mudman, Jacob Rypdal (guitar), and Mads Con Sax (saxophone). Known for their electrifying performances and cutting-edge remixes, Apodyopsis has reworked international artists like Oblique Industries and Gee Van D.

As co-owner and booker of Elefant Club (2016–2018), Eric helped transform the historic Skansen venue in Oslo into a hotspot for electronic music, curating unforgettable nights and hosting world-class artists.

Over the years, Eric Small has shared the booth with some of the scene’s biggest names—John Digweed, Damian Lazarus, Matt Tolfrey, Christian Burkhardt, SLG, Oxia, Pig & Dan, M.A.N.D.Y.—proving time and again why he remains a trusted selector and respected figure in global electronic culture.

Faia is a well-established figure in the Norwegian electronic music scene, having worked in the industry for well over a decade as a DJ and club promoter. 
Her reputation as a versatile artist is built on a deep interest for techno and house music, and her talent has taken her to some of Norway's top clubs, venues, and festivals including the open-air festival in Oslo, Sommerøya.
She has graced the decks at some of the country’s most esteemed venues like The Villa, Jaeger, Elefant, Storgata 26, and Hausmania in Oslo, Skur14 in Bergen, BrukBar/Blæst and Rockheim in Trondheim, and Cementen in Stavanger.

Faia's reputation has spread beyond Norway's borders, with bookings at renowned techno and house clubs across Europe, including Culture Box, Ved Siden Af, Club VOID, The Deaf Institute, LOFTAS, and Burning Man Week (SE). Her performances have taken her to Germany's top clubs like Rummels Bucht, Golden Gate, and Bohnengold, as well as festivals like Stroga Festival 2018, Sandsteinhöhlen 2019, MIT DIR Festival 2023 and MOYN Festival 2024. In Thailand, she played at the Jai Thep Festival in 2019.

As a promoter, Faia has been instrumental in empowering female DJs in the industry, organizing successful Femmes Fatales' events with both local and international artists since 2010. She has also been a resident DJ with the Small Records label for many years and now runs the SmallCast mix series.

In 2018, Faia got into producing and started a collaboration with Norwegian producer Duppeditt. Together they co-own the label Romklang Records and have been releasing music. Their hard work has paid off, with the duo getting signed to the PointZer0 Rec label in 2021 and having three releases on their V.A series 'The Explorer'. In 2022, they released 'Small Beings' on Music4Aliens V.A 'New Aliens Vol.3', and released their first ‘Escape EP’ on Amw Black Label in 2023. They also joined Joker Black Label in 2024 with the Alpha Machine EP.

Faia's skill behind the decks has earned her gigs alongside renowned DJs and producers such as Oxia, Pig&Dan, Ida Engberg, Djuma Soundsystem, Phaxe, Nastia, BeSvendsen, Guy J, Kruse and Nuernberg, DJ Hell, Turmspringer, Beddermann & Dahlmann, Ben Klock, Recondite, Gabriel Ananda, Lampé, Joseph Disco, Ramiro Lopez, TiM TASTE, Thomas Schumacher, Township Rebellion, and Moog Conspiracy.

Faia's musical style is characterized by deep, dark, groovy, techy, psychedelic and hard minimal, techno, and house. She occasionally enjoys playing downtempo chill out, melodic, organic and deep house sets for more easy listening. With her impressive track record and passion for the craft she continues to be a driving force in the electronic music scene.

Aside from his own productions, Oblique Industries is well­known for his work as a remix artist, especially after being hand­selected by Richie Hawtin as the winner of the Plastikman 'Ask Yourself' Remix Competition out of over 1300 entries from around the world, earning him a place on Plastikman's 'Arkives' on seminal techno label M_nus Records.
