'Big' Danny Kane is veteran of the Midnight Riot label and Timmy Vegas is from the soulful house scene (Z Records etc). Together the disco fever is scorching hot. Throwing vocals powerhouse Jacqui George into the mix and the results are off the hook. "Feeling Me" is an infectious homage to the American soul and funk world of the early 80s, totally classy. Yam Who? also appears, remixing the track into the 21st century by adding some tougher house undercarriage to the chassis. Alan Dixon stretches the tune to over seven minutes, concentrating on the top line melodies and a rolling bassline.

Next up in the series is a remix of Sade "I Couldn't Love You More" featuring Armando Perez (of ÉSSO) on guitar, and artwork by Ivan Vazquez. This release is accompanied by a limited edition 11x14 print produced in conjunction with Vault Galerie (Pilsen, Chicago).

Of everything I've made, this is the first time where I feel comfortable calling myself a producer. It's all original music except the vibes which are a replayed 'sample' of Bobby Caldwell's "My Flame." I was attempting to channel that 80s Sade sound where every song felt like a beach. Which is exactly where I wanted to be during week 1 of lockdown. And weeks 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...

Early on, working with Armando & Ivan brought a sense of normalcy to the chaos. It began as a way to keep busy but quickly became something bigger than myself, or this remix. I hope that it brings you all a bit of that beach feeling, to the place we escaped to while creating it.
