The Young Punx team up with Lost Prince and BYRON to reimagine Steve Monite’s cult 1984 Nigerian funk anthem “Only You”.

Hailed by DJs and record collectors as the holy grail of Nigerian funk, the original track became a rare-groove treasure for its hypnotic bassline, soulful vocals, and irresistible Afro-boogie swagger. Now in 2025, we bring it to the dancefloor as a groovy, piano-driven house rework that blends heritage with forward-looking club energy.

Our version keeps the timeless hook and melodic spirit of the original while injecting deep house basslines, live piano solos reminiscent of early Chicago house, and an uplifting modern production. Vocals are newly recorded by South African singer and actor Sifiso Mazibuko, adding a fresh interpretation while paying tribute to Steve Monite’s legacy.

This collaboration between The Young Punx, Lost Prince, and BYRON represents the meeting point of global influences: Nigerian funk roots, South African soul, and European house energy — all united in a track designed for both DJs and dancefloors.

Originally released in 1971 on the album Cartão Postal, “Que Bandeira” by Evinha gets a modern rework for today’s dancefloors. DJ Tuca and Karioka reinterpret this MPB classic with a Balearic touch — smooth Rhodes, live bass, guitar, Moog, and a newly programmed beat.

Written by Marcos Valle, Paulo Sérgio Valle and Mariozinho Rocha, the original marked a shift in Brazilian music, blending soul, bossa and funk. This new version brings that spirit into a deeper, atmospheric space, perfect for open-minded sets and sunset sessions.

This track is not simply a remix, but a true reworking of a session between the legendary Max Romeo and one of the pioneers of Italian and Sicilian reggae music: Jaka. Recorded in Rome and included in his first album: "Love The People" (2004). 
To the notes of the beautiful "Melt Away," originally recorded by Lee Perry in the 1970s, Jaka duets with Max Romeo singing in Sicilian and poetically paying homage to the strength and overwhelming energy of the music. I hope I’ve brought a bit of shine and a more modern sound to the track, drawing attention once again to a classic that connects the roots of my land with Jamaican music, in the name of good musica!

Delfonic from Berlin, a busy guy that will hit you with his experienced, flawless flow and the skills of a Hip Hop veteran but an open-minded music taste including soulful grooves from new jazz vibes, underground Disco, American House, Breaks and Afro Grooves.

With a history in digging and an unquestionable love for music, Markus Lindner, a.k.a. Delfonic, is one of the most versatile and informed DJ as they come.

He used to be the key character concerning music knowledge in Berlin. After a long decade at  OYE records store he left the business to become a 100% touring DJ and also to do a series of Dance Jazz Edits (Illegal Jazz) which create a massive buzz in the new house and funky dance world (support from Gilles Peterson, Honey Djoon and many others)

Delfonic applies his broad knowledge of music styles to almost any setting, and is renowned for blending multiple genres, eras and disciplines throughout his sets. An open-minded talent, with an uncompromising approach to DJing, he employs a style schooled from an upbringing in hip-hop. Delfonic is the model DJ - he’ll warm the crowd up, get them dancing and then provide the scope and context that will keep the heads on board.

Toti Bond, born in '82, has been passionate about music since his childhood. Drummer and dance performer until the age of 24, he developed a deep connection with the world of music and entertainment. As a young man he discovered his true passion for house music becoming an expert at mixing addictive beats and creating engaging atmospheres. With a career that spans his long history in entertainment DJ Bond continues to convey his infectious energy and unique tastes through his music, bringing his experience and dedication to every performance.

BissoMaN is a reggae producer, remixer, and DJ selecta from Palermo, Sicily, Italy. His passion for music started at a young age when he first engaged with the local hip-hop scene. However, in the late '90s, he discovered reggae music and immediately fell in love with its sound and culture.

Since then, he has been collecting reggae records and embracing the genre in all its forms and fusions.

In 2000, alongside Mamed and Ciloozz, later joined by DJ Koma and Hairl, he co-founded the MACUME' SOUND sound system. Over the years, he has developed a distinct style, staying true to authentic reggae and dub traditions while experimenting with new sounds. Preferring originality over commercial dubplates, he has been producing riddims, remixes, and mashups to enrich his sets.

He has also released two albums with Vaticaen Records and collaborated with artists from all over the world, across every continent, blending diverse influences to create unique musical experiences.

Recently, he became involved in a new music project called DUB.REBELS, further pushing his creative boundaries.

Crossing generations on the dance floor, Tuca has played various roles in electronic culture. As a DJ, Tuca brings a unique personality to House Music, blending Soulful, Deep, and Tech nuances. He merges current trends with influences from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, creating a sound that is both mature and contemporary.
Tuca has performed alongside names like Afrika Bambaataa, Shan S. Kapela, Afshin Assadian (DJoon Club), Marky, Mochakk, and more. He has also graced the decks of major clubs in Brazil, including Laroc Club (Valinhos – SP), Caos (Campinas – SP), D-edge (SP), Lote (SP), Matiz Bar (SP), Bar Elevado Conselheiro (SP), Heavy House (SP), and Jerome (SP).
He was one of the founders of the ROTA 91 radio show, which has been on air for 29 years on Educadora FM 91.7 in Campinas, SP, paving the way for underground electronic music in São Paulo's interior. As a producer with 30 years of experience, Tuca has released tracks and remixes on various labels, gaining support from artists like Dany Cohiba, Mr. V, and DJ Chus. Since January 2016, he has hosted the weekly "New York Feelings" show, aired every Monday on New York City's Web Radio – myhouseradio.fm.
Since June 2018, Tuca has been responsible for the musical curation of the renowned Sala 575 Bar, where he blends Jazz, Soul, Classic Rock, and Underground House Music with fine dining and drinks. In August 2021, he took on the residency and musical curation for Saturdays at Galeria 1212 in Campinas.
In May 2023, Tuca joined forces with selectors Marcio S. and Mimi to form Tomba Trio, a project that embodies a passionate love for the art of DJing, from vinyl to digital, and the genuine warmth of a dance floor.
Now, Tuca presents his newest project: Bumba Music, a label created to celebrate the richness of Brazilian and Afro-Latin music, exploring rhythmic roots in their many forms. With Bumba Music, Tuca aims to bridge tradition and modernity, offering a cohesive and innovative curation that provides a platform for artists who share the same passion for House Music in its various forms. The label's debut release, "Anacaram" by Tomba Trio, is already gaining recognition, showcasing Tuca's commitment to quality and authenticity in every project.

The Young Punx is the twisted alter ego of Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer Hal Ritson — the man behind 25 billion streams for artists like Kanye West, The Chemical Brothers, Charli XCX, Nas, Avicii, Duke Dumont, and Clean Bandit.

This is where the rule-breaking happens.

A wild collision of house, disco, rock, funk, jazz, drum & bass, and anything else lying around the cultural scrapyard, The Young Punx makes high-energy, high-attitude music that celebrates chaos and creativity in equal measure.

From viral bootlegs and remixes in the 2000s, to festival stages worldwide and collaborations with Peaches, Amanda Palmer, Dizzee Rascal, Snoop Dogg and more — The Young Punx has always been hard to define and impossible to ignore.

I am a DJ. Yes. And I produce music. House Music. And - I believe in the magic that good music can deeply trigger our emotions.  And - I run this label called SUGARSTARR TRAXX. Feel free to collaborate and release with me. 

My mission is bringing together the wide range of House Music. From Disco-, Funky- to undergroundish Ibiza Tech House. 

And this is my full story:
 
Sugarstarr is a DJ and Producer, based in Vienna. In the Musicbiz since 1998 he had several #1 Club-Hits released on labels such as Spinnin‘ Deep, Enormous Tunes, Ministry Of Sound, Kontor, Positiva, Universal, Sony, Defected, Toolroom, Subliminal, WePlay and many more. The type of style that is typical for Sugarstarr can be described as Deep-Funky-Techhouse with Vocals & Soul. One of his latest releases was called "Hey Sunshine"​ an hit the #1 in the Beatport-Charts for 8 weeks in a row nad #2 All-Over . It's supported by the likes of Claptone, EDX, Oliver Heldens, Fedde Le Grand, and many many more. The early releases and achievements in his almost 20 years lasting career was along his partner Syke. Thus the project was called Syke'n'Sugarstarr. They cemented their reputation as premier producers and DJs with a string of releases which where also supported by the A-League of the Electronic Dance Music Scene, incl. Mark Knight, Tiesto, Bob Sinclar Kaskade, David Guetta. One of the biggest tunes they ever produced was the collaboration with Housemusic-Legend CeCe Rogers and the reincarnation of the classic "No Love Lost"​ which was three weeks the "Essential New Tune Of the Week"​ of Pete Tong's  Show on BBC Radio 1. Back to Sugarstarr as a solo-artist, which he now embodies since 2014 with huge success. Beside a long list of releases such as "Ticket 2 Ride"​ "Are You Watching Me"​, "Like That Sound"​ or "My Belief"​  it's one more to mention here. It's about the 2014 collaboration with Redman & Method Man (Wu-Tang Clan) in a different way, as Goh. The track called „I Used To Be“ and sat well on the No. 1 position on Beatport for six (!) weeks in a row too. This newly created style combined Nu Disco with Rap & Hip Hop elements. But - the most appealing aspect of Sugarstarr is just how fresh he sounds. Both with his productions and his DJ'ing, which, as anyone who has seen him behind the decks will know, is as diverse and experimental as his studio work.
