We’re thrilled to welcome Chicago’s Rez Dosia to Obscura for his first feature length project - The Abstrakt Lover EP. With a feature selection on the recent Jimi Jules Essential Mix, Rez is on the rise as the summer season kicks into gear.

The project’s namesake and A-side Abstrakt Lover brings crisp acidic tones and tripped out vocal chops, creating bespoke dancefloor moments. Lights Out & Apache Plume bring a low-slung minimal vibe, keeping the groove tight while allowing punchy drum programming to catch the ear. Atacama welcomes floating melodies to lighten the mood, before Black Reflections sends us back into the deep with an ominous analog arrangement brimming with late night flavor. Closure wraps up the projects with an elongated break welcoming signature dancefloor moments.

The journey begins with Mary Shelley, a stunning track that seamlessly fuses avant-garde beats with futuristic elements. Inspired the wife of the new romantic poet Percy Shelley, this track is a celebration of nurturing self-worth by internal standards and not by incessant comparisons.
Next, Truth unfolds as a timeless masterpiece, delivering a powerful message about the enormous power of the human spirt when the heart and the mind are in alignment. The electronic melodies and hypnotic synths intertwine to lead into an energetic drop, uplifting and profound at the same time.
The EP concludes with Pixie, a playful musical piece inspired more by the natural world. This track is an emotional roller coaster that exudes dynamism and a vibrant energy that strikes a chord and evokes a wide spectrum of emotions.

Henri Bergmann unveils ‘Interstellar VA II,’ the latest compilation on her label, Automatik, showcasing a blend of established underground names and fresh emerging talent.

Following the success of Henri Bergmann's first 'Interstellar' Various Artists collection, Automatik returns with ‘Interstellar VA II’, featuring 15 captivating tracks that span a wide spectrum of forward-thinking club sounds. At the heart of this release is Automatik’s mission to highlight veteran talents and up-and-coming producers, fostering a dynamic platform for innovative music.

Among the contributors to the compilation are well-known underground names such as Eze Ramirez, HEÎK, Alphadog, Fat Cosmoe, and Mila Journee. Each artist brings their own unique sonic flair, delivering standout tracks that solidify Automatik's presence in the scene. Henri Bergmann herself features prominently, contributing two of her own tracks, including the lead single ‘How To Get Lost,’ which will be released ahead of the full compilation.
