still showing the signs of what once was

trenches and caves and rifts 
echoing your mysteries 
all seeing rock 
spying us through eyes of old
from the great Menotre Valley 
Nature... As an architect carving you with rain and wind 
mystic Pyramidal figure 
a refuge for winged creatures 
once it was the pagan temple of our ancestors 
for the Moon and for the stars an altar 
then corrupted by judeo Christian fools 
but you shall always be that sacred rock 
of myths and ancient lore
