In the comfort of your own mind

85% Dark Chocolate

Out of a somewhat sorry sounding musical milieu of half-started, half-baked and half-abandoned ingredients, this strange composition that you hear before you now, slowly yet determinedly, began to emerge and assume a structural form where, for a seemingly endless period during the early part of the production process, no such spark had seemed possible.

The notion of adopting a considerably accelerated tempo for this number had not been my intention from the outset - originally, this piece was expected to jog along at a steady 102 bpm - but then, out of nowhere, the idea of doubling the pace shuffled forward and suggested itself with a slightly self-conscious and apologetic shrug. After playing around with it for some time, I soon discovered that this had the potential to lock the entire, previous hotch-potch of uninspired themes into a much more cohesive musical whole, so I stuck with it and hey presto: the aforementioned structural form solidified.

So, there you have it, wonderful people: "His Very Words" was prepared, sliced, diced, boiled, cooked and baked during the late summer/early autumn of 2021, entirely in Ableton Live 11 and is served up here for your delectation and listening pleasure on this day, the 13th October 2021.

For this release, I'm delighted to welcome back on artwork duties the irrepressible collage exponent, Harl Vind. His incredible visual is entitled, "So Now I've Got No Mouth But I'm Still Screaming". I'm sure you'll concur that it's a fitting match for the music.

New version recorded 29/12/21. 
I wrote this whilst hypnopompic in bed one morning in April,  along with Exchequer Square. 

The ravens and the drones are gliding
The judges are in the castle hiding
The law of the land's a man
That's why they're scared
The cannons outside the gates are smoking
The peacocks and the cats are choking
On the bile they spat out when they didn't care
The Templars by the tombs are stirring
The brews inside the pots are whirling
King Solomon's great army seems prepared
Big Brother's eye has become infected
There were thoughts Sauron never expected
Turns out the prophets were not so impaired
The prisoners are separated
The chief commander is frustrated
Love of enemies should be more rare
The Pipes of Pan betray a panic
Even atheists know they're Satanic
The Anti-Satan's waiting on his mare

Stained glass windows are exploding
The Pope's in Vatican tunnels loading
Ancient weapons of mass delusion with a flair
A uniting charming politician
Is holding to the globalist vision
People would have second thoughts 
But do not dare
The Third World War made tyranny look fine
Already common law was benign
The faithful aren't running tearing out their hair
The Heavens have gone full revelation

This is another Iteration of my composition 'Mystères et Nuances', a free flowing 'Long distance - Improvisation' featuring Wind-Man Georg Boehme @GeorgBoehme 

"The reality of Quantum Entanglement has always intrigued me, and Georg has given me a wonderful Birthday gift today by offering to adventure with me into that realm where Time, Space and Tone tend to Murmurate, like Starlings. 😁                                

'The Groove' within the seemingly timeless Pulse of this piece is really suggested by the Tonal harmonics and inherent rhythms within them! At least that's the way i hear it. 😉

In any case, it's been particularly delightful to work with him. His tonal dynamics are a wonder.

This composition started as an experiment in using virtual instruments and an early attempt (in fact first attempt) at orchestration. It is very rough around the edges and highlights the need for me to improve my mixing skills, but I think it has something raw about it. I hope you find it interesting to listen to.
