Sudbeat celebrates its landmark 250th release with a huge ChangedFaces and Harry Diamond collaboration. Remix support from Dave Seaman and John Cosani complete this stellar pack.

ChangedFaces stormed the scene in the summer of 2021 with their debut single 'The Rhythm Of The Night', a sensational prog breaks re-work of Corona's '90s euro-house classic. With global DJ support and radio support from BBC Radio 1, Kiss, and Capital Dance in the UK, it's no surprise the mystery duo have risen quickly with tracks signed to Armada, New State and Sola. Fellow Brit and self-confessed studio body, Harry Diamond has had a similarly successful career. Tracks on Anjunabeats, Spinnin' and more have showcased his unique ear for detail and '80s synth inspirations.

In original form, tribal rhythms give way to powerful melodics and a dirty low end grunt. Exploding into life midway, the keyed hook and cinematic pads take you far away to your happy place in the clouds. On remix duties, renowned progressive pioneer, Dave Seaman drops two versions. On the 'Piano' mix chugging drums juxtapose the bright, hopeful keys for a contemporary reimagination. The 'Stabs' version takes a dubbier approach before hammering home with classic organ stabs. Finally, John Cosani delivers a trademark smooth remix that keeps faithful to the original motifs.

Aman Anand debuts on Jelly For The Babies One Of A Kind this week with 'Crystal Dawn'. The Indian artist is coming off a successful 2018 highlighted by four collaborations with fellow countrywoman Priya Sen and released courtesy of Modern Agenda and Stripped Recordings. Now presenting his first single of 2019, Aman debuts on One Of A Kind alongside remixes from Kostya Outta and Gaston Ponte.

Known for creating a trippier brand of progressive house has served Aman well, and that ethos continues here with 'Crystal Dawn'. Backed by a classically styled and ultra fluid groove, the Indian artist expertly weaves a wealth of psychedelic elements into it's tight and punchy framework. Set up by a well crafted and hugely anticipatory break, is a third act of esoteric effects and unique sonic artifacts. For as sensory saturating as it is the groove really does a wonderful job of pushing momentum forward and keeping attention locked on the dance floor.

The two remixes provided offer unique perspectives of the track beginning with Kostya Outta who reconstructs the core for more of a tech house inspired framework. Undeniably rhythmic while still retaining the trippy ethos of the original it's a creation that reaches a tasteful apex during the break before a clustered motif resets the groove for a swing heavy finale.

The release concludes with one of the progressive scenes fastest rising stars in Gaston Ponte. A much talked about name all throughout 2018, the Argentinean artist has delivered quality releases on Auditen Music, Mirabilis Records, Soundteller Records and Stellar Fountain. Now making his first appearance on One Of A Kind he provides a pure progressive take on 'Crystal Dawn'. Trippy and groovy in equal measure, it's the main break which really captures your imagination. A newfound vocal narrative adds depth while an array of astral designs lead to a brooding theme and percussive drop. Unique and inspired work from Gaston who proves he's artist to watch in 2019. It rounds out a great release for One Of A Kind who continue a stellar start to the new year. Highly recommended.
