Recording from when I hosted Queer Theory Reading Group convened by Zoe Bastin at Blindside ARI in Melbourne, Australia, including phone calls with Gabriella, Nelly and Oriane and recordings of the Seimens Nexas trains. We read the first of Freud's Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality, titled The Sexual Abberations - easy to find as a PDF on Google. The thumbnail includes a photo of Lili Elbe, the first woman to recieve sexual reassignment surgery, placed next to Freud's famous portrait.

Nicole Bordali is a multi-genre artist from Levittown, Puerto Rico. Since 2020 she's been mixing an atmospheric rock sound with dark melodies and poetic lyrics exploring heartbreak, desire, and the space between the intimate and the unreachable. Inspired by both the reggaetón and electronic music on the island as much as its rock and post-punk, Bordali put out EP 1 in 2021 and is currently writing and working on her debut album. 

Outside of rock, Bordali is deeply enmeshed in the Puertorican club scene as a DJ and event producer. Playing with darker electronic sounds —experimental techno, industrial, tech house, glitch noise, and deconstructed reggeatón— in offbeat venues like warehouses, theaters, and churches, she’s collaborated with Y2K Obsession, Isla del Terror and Ruido Femme.

Bordali's mix navigates a high-octane spectrum of contemporary club music, blending leftfield techno, Latin bass, dubby minimal, and percussive rave tools with bold genre crossovers from labels like Tresor, TraTraTrax, and ec2a. It’s a dynamic journey rooted in sweaty, body-moving energy—where experimental rhythm meets peak-time dancefloor heat.
