Marie has proven her notoriety on direct support for underground purveyors like Pleasurekraft, Camea, Tim Engelheardt, Tijana T, HVOB, and Kate Simko. Over quarantine Marie proliferated her esoteric sonic identity to an even larger audience, enchanting the airwaves of Twitch through mainstay channels like Abracadabra, Sian’s Octopus Recordings, and Desert Hearts TV where she played for upwards of 15,000 viewers at a time. Now the world is returning from the darkness, and Marie’s drive to contribute and create continues to germinate as she co-helms her own hypnotic imprint, Delusional Records, with fellow experimental producer and DJ, Maude Vôs.

Squaric - Clouds [Remixes]

Deep, rhythmic sounds… rumbling through space and time are the hallmark of Spanish producer Absis, and his productions that range from Ambient, to Techno and beyond. The talents are ever so showcased with every release, and DJ mix that he publishes. Ever so smooth, and refined, a musical journey that is expertly crafted with restraint and gravitas. Unsurprisingly we look to Joachim Spieths’ Affin label as his latest foray would be the second released on the German label.

Silent Voices, the title track starts off with heavy, thudding kicks as dark pads swirl mysteriously around, setting the tone for the duration of the track. Accompanying the percussive elements are disembodied, wispy voices that beg for attention yet give no heed to their inner meanings. Overall there is a feeling of growing anticipation. That change in the night from the blissful beginnings to those of an energetic night ahead, with each kick bringing you closer to the crescendo ahead.

Silent Voices, and in turn the rest of the release will be out on Affin, the 5th of July.

As one of the premiere DJs in Los Angeles, Marie Nyx has an unmatched ability to adapt to the wants and needs of any dance floor without sacrificing her infectious, apparitional style. Marie’s early influence of post punk, new wave, darkwave, and indie/alternative dance has inspired her sound to be raw and dark with gritty synth lines and driving grooves. Marie was named in the November issue of DJ Mag’s monthly Bubblers Series as one of six emerging acts to follow and is recognized for revered DJ sets around Southern California. Notable bookings include Crssd Festival and Fngrs Crssd events, the Mixmag Lab LA, and 6am Group events, where she’s played in direct support of artists such as Sven Väth, Marcel Dettmenn, Pleasurekraft, Dubfire, and Nastia.

In 2021, Marie co-founded her own hypnotic imprint, Delusional Records, with producer and live artist Maude Vôs. The fundamental goal of the label is to revive the roots of dance music culture by releasing timeless, hard-ware driven pieces of work created by an inclusive roster of artists; primarily LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and female. Marie’s debut EP on Delusional hit the charts and caught the attention of many in the electronic industry. Since then, the label has been featured in SPIN Magazine, Insomniac Radio, EDM Maniac, and more.
