Ekanta as the name suggests means the practice of solitude and this is what we intend to do through this compilation. Our aim is to build overwhelming rhythms for dance floor nights, dawn endings as well as mesmerising mornings and create a realm of psychedelic fantasy leading you to dance through the magical forests into a parallel world, where imagination meets reality with some of the top notch artists from the psychedelic scenes.

It feels like an eternity of darkness. Seeing the weak, crawling hands of light rays radiating from the dying sun on the horizon, not quite able to make a dent on the pitch darkness, one might wonder: will the darkness prolong for another eternity? Unknown to them is another world, trying to break free from the grip of relentless & blinding light.

The beings on both sides roam around trying to find the switch that can flip through reality. But, as with most things in the cosmos, they feel controlled by the invisible threads of a higher power, a machine that no one knows. The sands of time flow endlessly through that machine, waiting for the signal to reverse the flow. Will anyone amongst the millions, be able to find that switch hidden in plain sight, within their own minds?

It's the 1st time i'm writing something at 148 and it was good to experience something different. The guitar break was recorded with my friend Erwin. He's the bass player from Voice Of Ruin, a swiss metal band <3

Occular began his exploration into trance at the age of 17 and since 2010 has been producing and Djing psytrance. 

His focus and love for the music have helped him develop his style and skills in a relatively short amount of time. At the age of 25
 Occular has already had a few releases and played across europe and Goa, India. 

Occular's main influences through his short time involved in the trance scene have been mostly the uk night time sound of Bom Shanka and Wild things. And was first introduced to the scene when he attended Tribe of Frog in Bristol. At the time occular was mixing and producing Drum & Bass, Techno and Dubstep. After this he immediately started making psytrance. Based in bristol he was able to get involved with the local free party crews like Ninja Hippies and Psychedelic Resisdance and soon after started playing Tribe of Frog on a regular basis.

His sound combines driving bass lines with groovy and hypnotic leads, with a daytime influence and is made for any time of day! 

Occular continues to build on his psychedelic sound and trip over on the astral turf..
