Emancipator - Eve II (ODESZA Remix)

This song started as a violin track by Kristina Marie, from there IGAMA created samples and intuited a song with guitars recorded by Nicholas Sanchez and Igama. This song's journey was completed at Overlap in The Bay Area in Christopher Willits' mastering studio. The journey began in DC, was sent to UT, relocated to Hawaii, and set back out to SF, before coming to end. This is also the introductory contribution from Kristina Marie to the Oceanids Collective.

Tapestry

This is the second remix we have completed through Willits' drip.fm subscription service. It was started while I was living in Pearl City, Hawaii. I made a basic remix trajectroy and from there blended in a violin part from @electronic_violinist and a synth (Prophet08) part from Oceanids Co-founder, Nicholas Sanchez. After blending those in, I finished it up in July after I had moved to Waikiki. Christopher was kind enough to master this remix, so please take a listen and leave feedback! 

This piece was very educational and transformative for me as a producer, so I hope you all enjoy it, if it speaks to you, please reach out and we would be happy to tell you more about it!

This is my remix of Second Half of a Memory by In the Branches. (World Bass producer The Adaptive's ambient project). The original song was a single guitar track made from looping guitar parts in a single take. I was really fascinated and impressed by the idea of creating ambient music that way and so I wanted to remix this song as a tribute to Expanse Sessions, one of my favorite ambient releases of the year.

Full Release Description: 

Opening with AMB’s remix of the title track, the listener is lured down a haunting yet playful rabbit hole. But that’s just the beginning. Both Igama & ill.Gates take ‘Sankar’s Lake’ in a new direction by injecting their own musical flavor into CloZee's already beautiful piece. While Igama gets slow and sensual, ill.Gates adds soulful samples and a dash of heavy bass to take the track to new heights. An energy-fueled take on ‘Anticlimax' by glitch duo Electrocado picks the pace up midway through the album before things return to a more deliberate pace with David Starfire’s re-imagined ‘Apsara Calling’, with Starfire adding psy-dub zest for a sub-heavy twist on the original. Closing the album is a peaceful re-interpretation of ‘Revolution’ by producers Flashball13 & Messkla
