Moscow Records’ first release of 2016 comes from label boss Archie Hamilton, remixed by Romanian talent Ali Nasser.

The title track on the A side is an uplifting piece of minimal house blending a familiar synth line with a trippy vocal and his characteristic groove.

Ali Nasser’s remix on the flip brings together both classic percussion and synth elements, in a contemporary style, constructing a timeless house classic.

Every now and again an artist collaboration comes along that simply makes you stop and listen. The new single from Mark Knight, Green Velvet and Rene Amesz is one of those moments. 

At the end of 2016, Toolroom head honcho Mark Knight spent some time in the Rotterdam studio of fellow label favourite Rene Amesz, the result of which was a powerful electronic Tech House track that was begging for a vocal. There was only one man who could complete this monster collaboration and take the track to its full potential. 

Green Velvet has added his now trademark lyrical intelligence – talking of the worries and paranoia of a digital generation that is constantly monitored and surveyed by afar. The combination of his cryptic yet memorable vocals alongside the power and energy of the track makes for a compelling and unforgettable record. A year after Red Axes’s musical adventures took them through the sounds and scenes of Africa, they return with a second EP in the Trips series that finds them exploring the rich rhythms of Vietnam.

Release Info: 
Selador head honcho Dave Seaman returns to the fray, notching up another original release which now takes him into double figures for the label, an impressive tally which doesnt even take into account the substantial stack of remixes hes also contributed over the imprints 6 year history. 

Of course, as co-founder of the label with his trusted partner in crime, Steve Parry he holds some sway on what makes it onto the release schedule but thems the perks of the job, whatcha gonna do about it?! 

His latest creation, lovingly entitled Thonk! is the result of a few lost afternoons spent in the vaults of his extensive vinyl collection trawling for obscure audio clips to form the basis of this meticulous audio collage. It was a painstaking process that required patience to burn but as always, the devil is in the detail. Time well spent. 

His partner of choice for this particular release is Italian producer Whitesquare, whos proved himself to be a more than capable wingman by serving up an outstanding rework thats already being championed by the likes of Solomun and &ME. File under bass heavy super chic groover and crank it up!
