Robert Dietz teams up with Switzerland's Alci for the second release on his Truth Be Told imprint.

The 3-track TBT 002 is split equally between the pair, with a collaborative effort sandwiched between a solo outing from each producer. Head honcho Dietz gets the EP underway with a hypnotic slice of tech house in 'Tan Tropez'. Sultry and mysterious, the track is laden with clicks and odd samples that give off a sense of inebriation, like getting lost in a forest of swirling bodies on a dimly lit dancefloor.

You can pick up 'Tan Tropez' with the rest of TBT 002 from October 19th. Dietz and Alci have also announced an collaborative mixtape is in the works, along with plans for a number of special b2v sets, so keep your eyes on DT for all the latest.

Beautiful sonic sorcery from Cristi Cons and DeWalta. 
Elegant, warm, subtle but energetic music, creating a momentum of infinity. Our favorit Romanian artist known for his productions, his quality Amphia label, a:rpia:r as well as his SIT project with Vlad Caia teams up with DeWalta from Berlin who continues to refine his output on Meander. These two kindred spirits met at DeWaltas studio to create a spaced-out musical treatment, captivating body and mind. Lisa Milloy, joined the creative process, adding beautifully flowing words, recorded in one take as stream of conciousness. Breath in and dance to their melodies with a clever groove that just flows onwards. With the record Basorelief, released in 2014 Meander already introduced the greatly talented Cristi Cons to its circle. Now these two artists, bringing Bucharest and Berlin further together, deliver a hightly anticipated follow-up with this record filled with rhythmic material for the space between.

SCI+TEC are proud to play a fresh role in story of this modern-day classic. ‘Destroy This Track’, one of

the acid legend DJ Pierre’s many influential tracks, dropped in 2006 under Pierre’s DJP guise and

dented the house and techno spectrum with its signature wild pitch feels and iconic vocal hat tip to

Daft Punk.

Just over 10 years later, Toronto icon Carlo Lio brings Pierre’s stern sentiment back into the future

with a lolloping rhythmic momentum that the refuses to quit until the last order to work it, smash it

and kill it ring out.

The message is amplified by Carlo’s equally disarming ‘Like This’. Rolling with an industrial strength

undulating groove and humanised rhythmic loop; suspense and tension is strung out throughout the

experience thanks to precision use of textures and tones. As with Carlo’s previous SCI+TEC outings,

this is real heads-down gear.

Two sides of the techno coin flipped consummately, Carlo’s delivered some special here. Tried and

tested under Dubfire’s dubplate duress, the message is clear: Handle with caution.

HOSH's fryhide label is back with a first EP that is from an artist other than the boss himself. That artist is Tim Engelhardt, a fast rising German wunderkind who serves up four fantastic tracks that prove why he is going to go on to big things. It is a great signing by H.O.S.H. and one that makes another standout EP on his young but impressive label. 

Engelhardt is currently riding high off the success of his recent album, Moments of Truth, at just 19 years of age. It follows five years of essential tracks on other outlets and all of these have proved he has an emotive deep house and tech sound. Far from just functionality, club tunes, his music is fully formed with real vision and musicality. Says the artist of the release, 'this is a chronicle of what I've been experiencing over the past two years; the transformation from someone who is interested in music and technology to a full solo artist and performer where my reality has become playing music and producing tracks.'

Opening the EP is masterpiece that is Reality, a slow burning tune with wavy beats and carefully constructed melodies that are sombre and tender. It's full of unexpected twists and turns, clever engineering and an arrangement that shows real artistry. As the beats shuffle on you get sucked into the deep emotions and lost amongst the gentle percussion. Then comes Heart Resonance, another moody track with lush chords and pads laid over soft but engaging drums. It's a majestically magical affair that really cooks up some exquisite melodies. 

We Didn't Talk For A While gets a little darker, with more driving drums and rumbling bass that is filled with tension and suspense, even a little menace. Again the chords are well crafted and help stand the track out, then Henriette gets more loose and freaky for the late night hours, with skewed synths and miniature explosions of cosmic colour keeping you locked. 

This is a beautifully crafted EP that marks another great release on this essential and well formed label.
