Kela’s Ergonomica sets the scene, with its shimmering electronic intro, and strong undertow of alluring bassline. The producer builds things up to drop them down, and the opening picture is completed with rushy breaks and headstrong beats. A.S.K. contributes the ethereal Elemental, which drops piano-led lusciousness over moving bass and well-engineered beats, before Lockjaw looks into the Mirror Image. As ever with Lifestyle, the whole of the album is incredibly well produced, with detailed, evocative music on each and every track. The new direction is innovative, exciting and fresh to death.

Jazzatron’s Dedicato is deep, dark and dangerous, whilst still maintaining poise and precision, whilst Borderline, by Despicable Youth, blends old skool-ish samples and a huge, sliding drum attack that will have you reaching for the rewind. Kela reappears with Jump Down, a beautiful mixture of floating background and straight-up funky beats, before label boss Catharsis comes with No Good.

Taelimb strikes gold once again with the marauding Teacup, an effortless gaze into just what our music can offer in the right hands, and Instinkt represents Plymouth on his track. Lockjaw’s epic Idol appears not only in its original form, but also as the Sensus remix, before SubCorp closes things out with Bee +.

Lifestyle Music returns with a two-part single, this time representing the sounds of Mean Teeth featuring collaborations with Kerizma MC and Skylark. The Mean Teeth duo reigning from Estonia and Lithuania are a name making serious waves in the Drum & Bass scene, seeing recent releases on Renegade Hardware and Bad Taste to name a few. For this release they’ve teamed up with British Kerizma MC for Gutterfunk, and young French production prodigy Skylark for Hydra.
 
The first track up ‘Gutterfunk’ backed up by the host from the UK’s South Coast ‘Kerizma MC’, sets the tone for the start of the single. Mad Liberation is a collection of songs that I have been working on for the past year that ranged from mostly original compositions to varied sample work (retro vinyl recordings and new all original recordings); digital synthesis that took me weeks to master; to live instrumentation tediously and soulfully recorded by myself and some of my very good friends. 

This collection of noise - to me - became an album, a sound in a whole, an idea free from limits of thought and more an idea of the heart and soul. Mad Liberation is a piece of me that is representative of my past, breathes life into my present, and is a taste of the future. 

I don't have fancy recording equipment, amazing speakers, crazy keyboards, complicated sample packs, proper studio time, cutting edge midi controllers, or outboard mixing gear. 

What I do have is an endless imagination of the future/now, unrelenting will, constant fascination, and a heart that has no capacity to stop loving and trying. 

This business - when you boil it down - is not about the machine, but about the man. Even electronic music is humanistic. We breath life into these dead things to make them whisper and ROAR!! I am inspired by that fact, and this is what sets me free.
