• Zgirie Disc a dezvoltat o afinitate pentru muzica inca din copilarie, ascultand des benzi de magnetofon, vinyluri şi casete, pasiune condimentata mai apoi cu infiintarea unei trupe de hip hop in care a activat atat ca MC, cat si ca producator de instrumentale.Primind de la prieteni "electronisti", botezul petrecerilor de gen, mai întai la adunari private, la care a degustat din plin sunetele lui Richie Hawtin, s-a indragostit pe loc de stilul minimalist si percutia organica. 

• A impartit pupitre, scene, voie buna, muzica si dans alaturi de numerosi artisti consacrati, deschizand seara de duminica a Maratonului (BC), castigand concursul Electric Castle in 2014, prezentandu-si creatiile muzicale in Gazette (CJ), Stage (CJ), Shelter (CJ), SubSol Bar (BUC) si multe altele.

• “Linia melodica a fost compusa pentru iubita mea intr-o dimineata devreme, undeva pe plaiuri mioritice si e o improvizatie romantica, ce relateaza muzical vibratia romaneasca si transmite caldura care ne invaluie cand suntem indragostiti, compozitie influentata si inspirata din fapte reale”

• Since childhood, Zgîrie Disc developed an affinity for music, often listening to magnetic tapes, vinyls and cassettes, with different genres of music (from symphonic music to rock ballads, from stories and theatre to folk music), a passion later on, spiced up with setting the foundation for a hip hop crew in which he activated as an MC and producer. From "electronists" friends, he received the so called, electronic music baptism, firstly in private gatherings, where he fell in love with the sounds of Richie Hawtin, falling in love with the minimalist style and the organic percussion.

• He shared desks, scenes, humor, music and dance along with many consecrate artists, opening the Sunday evening of Maraton (BC ), winning the contest Electric Castle in 2014 presenting his musical creations in Gazette (CJ), Stage (CJ), Shelter (CJ), SubSol Bar (BUC), and so on.

• “The melodic line was composed for my girlfriend in the early morning of a day, somewhere in the national realm, and it’s a romantic improvisation, recounting romanian musical vibrations and transmits heat that surrounds us when we are in love, the composition is influenced and inspired by real events.“

• Pornind de la numele “Virgont” acesta a pus caldura sonora a viorii traditionale romanesti pe beaturile minimalistice si ritmul electronic Romanesc. A iesit o piesa de 8 minute, care speram ca va incanta urechile romanilor, si nu numai.

• Nicolae-Flavius Lăzău, known as Nicvius, born in Beiuș, Bihor County, Romania. He discovered the passion for electronic music a decade ago, when house music started to bloom across Romania. He started spinning back in 2007 and started producing 2 years ago, being more attracted to and influenced by Romanian Microhouse and Minimal. • Starting from the name “Virgont” he put the heat sound of traditional violin sound to minimalistic beats and romanian electronic rhythm. The outcome is a track of 8 minutes and we hope it will please the Romanian ears out there and beyond.

Next Meander issue, which will be out on 23 July 2018, is named "Peace Monarchy", and will be the EP number 23 from the label.

For this upcoming production, then German imprint opens its door to the Canadian artist The Mole, which delivers a four-tracker EP and signs his label-debut.

On Side A, "Set you Free" stands out with both the original mix (A1) and the re-interpretation from Amorf (A2), the Romanian trio made by Cristi Cons, Vlad Caia and experimental pianist Mischa Blanos. The remix track, which we are here premiering, already resonated in several different soundsystem creating, when dropped, enthusiasm and euphoria on the dancefloors. It brings a sound completely coherent with the label philosophy, where classical music elements and instrumental interludes are used to give a melodic breath and freshness from insisting bass-lines and synthetic sound patterns. The complexity of the production does not certainly make the track redundant but instead, it creates a tight groove filled with background etherial elements, something we already found in DeWalta and Cristi Cons "∞", and that can be considered one of multiple Amorf's trademarks and distinctive traits, for sure highly appreciated by the label-head DeWalta, an artist with a strong classical background.

The work behind the track is structured and well organized, with nothing left to the coincidence. This high level of precision can rarely be found, and confirms the label extremely high standards in terms of music. Standards which are reflected also on everything else related, including the artwork. In fact, like all Meander releases, the first copies are made with limited and special hand-made screen printed sleeve. The 180 gr vinyl will also ensure a strong resistency and durability over time.

Bucharest-based G76 masters the technique of creating utterly haunting, otherworldly tracks that are likely to wear down less adventurous listeners. When it comes to his DJ career, he likes to keep it low profile, with little but meaningful appearances in front of the crowd. This turned up in his favor: G76 achieved and maintained a distinctive sound approach, resulting in a very original artwork, different from what we're used to hear most often nowadays. Here is a special cut of his Mioritmic 2018 set; well rounded tones that compliment the collection of groove-centric records. Enjoy!

In recent times, the Unknown Artist trend found a new high and as a result lot of music and sneaky edits are released using this escamotage.

Almost every artist used it at least once in their career, either to try a different approach and experiment a variation of sound, or alternatively to put out some unofficial rework. In many cases, is very clear who is behind each track, at least for who works within the industry. For everyone outside, this helps to increase the hype as several names are guessed in the attempt to link a name to the music.

However, there is an artist that was really able to keep up the mystery not only about his music, but around his whole identity: Viceversa. 

The Italian artist had a steady and fast growth from a production point of view, and his DJ profile is quickly following this surge. Since the establishment of his own imprint in 2016, and receiving support from the likes of Raresh and Enzo Siragusa since day one, Viceversa music was able to convince everyone in the minimal field in just less than three years filled by several productions.

Apart from his own Viceversa homeplace, where most of his music found space, the external labels he released on just confirmed his success: East End Dubs' Eastenderz, Giuliano Lomonte's Point Of View, OGE, MTMLTD, Curtea Veche and Underground Town are only few and well explain why he is one of Romanian favorites.

Being followed by Trommel since the very early days, we are now glad to unveil his mix as part of our Podcast Series, with 1h38m of groovy sounds from a different dimension.

Nacho Bolognani has been steadily building up a solid foundation of work over the past few years, moonlighting on labels like Fun Records, Momentz and MyHouse YourHouse. Now the house producer brings his skills to Purism, Enrico Mantini's on-point label that deals in all kinds of sublime stripped back jams. DKGF EP leads in with "Distance Dub," a steady ticking tool that should sit easy in the mix with all manner of sounds and styles. Sanity label boss Cuartero debuts on Hottrax imprint with ‘Balaba’, featuring two bustling house cuts. 

Spanish producer Cuartero has been serving up a solid string of releases with a whirlwind of DJ performances over the last twelve months spanning Europe, South America, and the USA. Making recent appearances labels like Edible, What NxT and Cinthie’s Beste Freunde, last year also saw Cuartero release on Hot Creations. He now joins Hottrax, another one of Jamie Jones’ imprints, following releases from East End Dubs, Christian Burkhardt, and 9th House. 
 
‘Balaba’ opens the EP with bouncing acid bass, shuffling hats, perky snares and an attention grabbing vox-stab that carries the energy right through. ‘Come On Closer’ then sweeps in with tight drum programming, thumping sub groove, echoing stereo effects, vocal hooks and subtle percussive clicks.
