Young and full of energy Impulsive Behaviour has been making his waves in the scene. Originally from Bali, Indonesia he’s now based in London where he’s runs his collective MODÜL. parallel to his life in the studio.

With his debut EP on Gomboc Records followed by releases with Voxnox, Nulleins andTx Records to name a few, Impulsive Behaviour has been polishing his sound characterised with heavy kicks fuelled by fast driving grooves.

A distinctive presence in the dj booth his eclectic track selection ranges from hard-hitting to cute reflecting the diverse musical landscape of London. With influences from early 2000s hard techno, jungle and hardcore expect a rough edge sound and a relentless groove bringing high energy front and centre.

I'm an Italian vinil dj since 2003,adapted to new technology consolle Numark stream Pro.At the same time as dj i was an organizer underground electronic events since 2001 to 2009.Than a personal life pause to 2023.My musical culture start from dark,new wave,American punk hardcore,at sametime to English industrial bands like Clock dva,the intelligence dance techno drumbass from Aphex Twin,Authecre's electronic and of course Underground Resistance Detroit.A significant emotional impact was  a Berlin sperimental industrial band the Einstuerzende Neubauten.Among other things i lived in Berlin for 4 years and attending mainly the Goa trance scene.In the vinyl approach my musical genre was Minimal techno and Electroclash.I'm working on my own music production.Underground dance music is my proposal.

This DJ mix set was inspired by my years of admiration of Richie Hawtin and his truly unique mixing style.  My recent trip to Amsterdam for ADE and being able to catch a portion of one his sets inspired me to create something different than what I usually do.  I've been listening to Richie for decades both live and online. His one-of-a-kind sound has always amazed me.. While I'm not the artistic genius he is and also don't have his truly unique gear selection for performances, I've done my best representation here of his style:  mixing 4-on the floor, proper and somewhat classic sounding techno with lots of quick cuts, surprise transitions and no shortage of effects and "DJ tricks".  This set starts average paced at just under 140 BPM but soon ramps up to faster (than my normal) at over 150 BPMs. I hope you enjoy this set and my attempt to emulate a legend.  p.s.  I screwed up on saving my mix set track IDs so unfortunately I am unable to list those but reach out to me on Instagram where I'm known as Octoplus_DJ and I'll be glad to share some Beatport playlists with you were I pulled these tracks from.
