Hi friends, we continue with our podcast series today with the amazing @faia (Romklang Records / Small Records / Femmes Fatales. NO) as our special guest at the 155th episode of UCP!

Oslo-based DJ, producer and club promoter Faia has played at most of the clubs, venues and raves in Norway, as well as Oslo’s biggest open air electronic music festival Sommerøya and other wonderful festivals in Norway. Faia is also regularly booked to techno and house clubs all around Europe.

In Oslo she's in charge of the successful Femmes Fatales' events. They had a 5 year residency at The Villa, and monthly events at Elefant and have guested various clubs.

In 2018 Faia got into production, and started a collaboration with Duppeditt. They own the label Romklang Records together and are now releasing their music.
She’s a label DJ for Small Records and in charge of their mix series SmallCast.

Faia has been booked to events or shared decks with many well-known DJs and producers such as; Oxia, Pig&Dan, Ida Engberg, Djuma Soundsystem, Phaxe, Nastia, BeSvendsen, Guy J, Kruse and Nuernberg, DJ Hell, Turmspringer, Miss Sunshine/Insolate, Beddermann & Dahlmann, Ben Klock, Recondite, Gabriel Ananda, Thomas Schumacher and Moog Conspiracy.

Faia loves being behind the decks, and that also reflects the drive, energy and playfulness in her choice of music which is mostly deep, dark, groovy, techy and hard Minimal, Techno and House.

Oculus Records aims to provide the highest quality of music produced by fresh and current innovative artists within the genre of Minimal & Techno.

The eye in Oculus signifies discovering deep within the depths of our mysterious and stylish genre we call Techno, searching for artists with raw talents and bringing them to the surface so that their music can be heard and exposed in the underground scene.

Many ancient esoteric, as well as earth-based philosophies, consider the eye as a channel or a passageway into a new dimension. Here the eye is not a physical symbol but rather an ethereal one in which consciousness may enter into a gateway of infinite expanse. This journey is traversed through the pitch-black channel of being-ness (represented by the black of the pupil). Once the threshold is crossed, one is said to obtain higher knowledge - a glimpse of heightened epiphany - comparable to enlightenment.
