VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, from Rome, who’s based in Berlin. He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style is usually very hard and dark. Well-known are his very heavy synthesizer-lines with influences of industrial techno. Over the years he has released eps on many other important labels such as Perc Trax, Modularz, Power Vacuum, New Rhythmics, Planet Rhythm, Ear To Ground, DYAD, Complex Adaptive System and Genesa. Fabrizio Lapiana's Attic Music label reaches release number 20 on the main series with a new EP from the boss himself: Collective Chaos features remixes from fellow Italian techno luminaries Neel & Laertes.
 
Opener 'Crystal' is deep, drawn out techno with perfectly smooth and supple drum programming that soon gets you in a state of hypnosis. Subtle synth loops rise up through the mix as things grow more urgent, and once the percussion joins you're utterly locked. The title track is a more turbulent and edgy affair that sound tracks a dystopian urban wasteland - the synths are riddled with static, the hurried drums are punchy and there is an urgency in the molten synth lines that keeps you right on the edge of your seat. 

Sound sculptor Neel runs Spazio Disponibile with collaborative partner Donato Dozzy and has an impeccable knack for sound design. Here he links with Laertes (half of Modern Heads with Dino Sabatini), a Mental Modern and Concrete Records associate who produces artful techno. Together, they remix 'Collective Chaos' into a dark and moody techno roller with glitchy textures and high speed synth lines that sweep you off your feet. 

Closing out this terrific trip is 'Koyuk', a Millsian adventure into an intergalactic techno future, with polyphonic synths rippling above a rubbery drum line that is both propulsive and pensive. 

This is high grade, perfectly distilled and meditative techno from some of Italy's finest exports.

Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network / LSN, HueHelix) was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with Electronic Music in the early 90s.

In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he discovered Techno, House and Electro Music.

As soon as he got back, he started to DJ at several locations and eventually learned to produce at the same time. After that, he released on such labels as: LK Rec, Arms, Mastertraxx, FK Rec, SWR, Innervate, I.CNTRL, Impact Mechanics, Silent Steps, GSR, Brood Audio, to name but a few.

In 2011, Ryuji started his own imprint called 'Local Sound Network / LSN' as a platform for new generation of electronic sound which following words can appropriately describe: driving,hypnotic, atmospheric, emotional, groovy, funky... and any other aspects that rock from brain to the dance floor under the following statement:

From local to global...It exists in order to inspire the world...

Also, Ryuji kicked off another brand new label called 'HueHelix / HHX' as a new platform, which discloses something new,only represented by HueHelix, together with Go Hiyama, Tomohiko Sagae and Kazuya Kawakami, in order to push quality music with global standard from where sun rises.

In 2012, Ryuji launched 'Local Sound Network Digital Solutions / LSNDS' series in need of discovering and introducing wider range of electronic music, aiming at dropping unique audio output while its hot. DEAD CERT. Records is a label linked to the well known website deathtechno.com ran by Jack! Who? in the UK. A diverse palette has seen the previous releases feature music from artists including Audio Injection / Truncate, Paul Mac, TWR72, Echoplex and Petter B, to name but a few.

Uruguay-based William Arist returns to DEAD CERT. following his fierce vinyl only contribution "Cyanophyta" that has gathered pace as an essential DJ weapon. Having released on labels like Animal Farm, Vinicius Honorio's Liberta, Deano (ZA)'s Knowledge Imprint, his very own Perseverancia and soon Marco Faraone's UNCAGE, he also lists support by the likes of Ben Sims, Charlotte de Witte and Tensal.

He has delved into his vast production archive especially for DEAD CERT. and alongside three original works is a remix from Fossil Archive aka Roberto.

Fossil Archive also goes by the name Roberto to many and has a back catalogue including Radio Slave's Rekids, Mike Dehnert’s Fachwerk, Emmanuel’s ARTS, On Edge Society and collaborations with the late Trevino and Roman Lindau for example, his huge, consistent and educated sound is much loved.

"Drastic" kicks things off with a raw, angular jam, wrapped in analogue grit and infectious electronic funk that tears forward with a jovial heart at its core.

Second up is "Desire" that opts for a different approach. The rolling bottom end, pulsing phasers and deep chords add a warm sensitivity to its otherwise energetic framework.

Fossil Archive aka Roberto goes full throttle with his rework, jackin' at its best with both feet on the dance floor and a style that will defy anyone not to succumb to its monumental influence.

Showing his production skills in full effect, "Dystopia" is a lesson in abstract grooves and rich sound design, for those who like leftfield techno dripping in character and creativity.

Rising talent Frankie Bromley steps up for episode 39 of our FWP series with an hour long vinyl only mix.

A young man who's passion and love for techno does not go unseen. Since being introduced to electronic music at the age of 9 by his older brother, he soon developed a keen ear for electronic music which ultimately lead him down the path of DJing and production. 

Now 19, Frankie's productions have already drawn support from some of the scenes biggest names such as Chris Liebing, Radio Slave and Richie Hawtin amongst others. 2020 has seen him take up a residency with Berlin based label Codec and 992 and also launch his own imprint, 'affect-ion'.

Michael Klein’s Trip Image is a juggernaut of modular thrumming and pulses, ushering a cacophony synthetic noise and pulsing percussion. 
Trip Image holds true to being hallucinogenic and raw, chittering insect-like synths with angular drumming. Taste starts off as a frisky cacophony of blips that builds into a proper darkroom mover. The modular synths and bass are offset properly with the tension that breathes in Whisper. The cascade of glitchy bells and pulsing beat define Touch throughout the piece. Smell has thrumming drums which cement the raw, groaning bass to its foundation.

After their first joint venture crystallized in the form of a remix by Toni for one of Oliver’s tracks, Berliner Toni Dextor releases his first full EP on Adroit Recordings, with Deutschmann on remix duties.

‚Complex' spells trouble from the get go: heavy drums, a dynamic, straightforward bassline and a simple yet effective melody captivate instantly, showcasing Toni’s ability to produce dancefloor anthems. 'Type X' follows in the same vein, albeit a bit on the more restrained side. It unfolds confidently into another heavy hitter perfect for peak time. 'Type A', on the other hand, offers a more explorative groove, firmly set atop a winding bassline and armed with similarly weighty drums. Oliver Deutschmann takes on 'Type X', adding more suspense via brooding pads and razor-sharp cymbal crashes, making for a less aggressive yet still compelling arrangement.
