Hüseyin is a composer, producer and DJ. He is one half of Cassegrain as well and working on his own solo material as Magna Pia since 2016.
He studied composition, piano and electronic music at the University of Istanbul and Mozarteum Salzburg. He has composed music for theatre, dance performances and mixed media for almost two decades. After meeting Alex Tsiridis at the Red Bull Music Academy in 2008, they formed the techno duo “Cassegrain”. Since their first release on Mikrowave in 2010, they have worked with a variety of labels such as infrastructure NY, Prologue, Killekill, Ostgut Ton, Counterchange and Semantica. In 2016 they formed their own imprint called “Arcing Seas”, which is now home to both collaborative work as Cassegrain, solo projects as well as guest artists. 2017 was a super year for Cassegrain that saw the duo tour around the northern hemisphere from Detroit to Tokyo to perform their live and DJ shows.
As Magna Pia, Hüseyin focuses on providing combative dance floor trips and unorthodox sonic moods with subtle 90s techno references while he keeps his interest in combining contemporary techno music with archaic symbolism.

Over the years, Tripeo has edged out an exceptional corner of the techno spectrum for himself. Brought to life as Darko Esser’s puristic alter ego, he has gradually returned to his namegiver’s eclectic roots, while also delving deeper into his musical metier. Each new Tripeo track is a clever patchwork of pulsating rhythms and minimalistic melodies – seemingly simple, yet utterly refined.

Darko Esser’s devotion to electronic music spans several decades. He has built his international reputation based in two small, but tight-knit music communities in Holland. First as a talent buyer at Groningen’s Simplon, later as a booker and resident of Doornroosje in Nijmegen. Thanks in great part to his efforts, Planet Rose has become one of Europe’s longest running techno nights. Together with his labels Wolfskuil and Balans, this has cemented the town’s reputation as a remarkable techno hub, and boasted Darko’s prominence as an excellent curator.

Productionwise, Darko Esser has first brought out a string of superb releases under his own name, including his debut album, also called Balans. Tripeo’s ‘First Trip’ in 2012 was meant as somewhat of a side project. But soon enough, his new monicker struck a chord with connoisseurs worldwide. Especially when he unleashed his critically acclaimed album ‘Anipintiros’ in 2014, making him a household name from Berlin to Buenos Aires, and from Great-Britain to Georgia.

Georgia’s Tblisi is one of the remarkable places abroad where Darko has found a deeper connection with the local crowd. The fearless determination and graceful open-mindedness of Bassiani’s techno community have been an inspiration in both his DJ sets and productions. It makes perfect sense for him to release his most diverse Tripeo album to date on the club’s esteemed label. Further exploring the crossroads between fierceness and vulnerability, ‘Green Is the New Red’ incorporates experimental escapades like electro and ambient. Relentless and emotionally charged, this is Tripeo at his most compelling.

It’s this feeling that drew Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Jeff Rushin to techno and what has kept him there since. In a career that now spans over two decades, he’s played throughout Europe, hitting smaller clubs, major venues and global festivals alike. Always looking to experiment with a wide range of sounds, a Rushin-set aims is warm, energetic and different every time.

As a producer, Jeff is faithful to techno’s rhythmic machine-roots while also allowing emotion and atmosphere to slip through. His records are made for the dancefloor as well as the mind. He has dropped releases on a number of imprints including Weekend Circuit, his own On and On Records and the infamous Mote Evolver, his tracks getting picked up by numerous international DJ’s.

To top it all off, Jeff’s also the driving, creative mind behind the respected On and On events, which have become engrained within Amsterdam’s busy nightlife scene. Eager to play, in search of those unique moments once more.

Jon Hester got his start in the midwest US, living in Chicago, Minneapolis, and connecting with Detroit. After years on the dance floor he took to the decks, going on to work in a record shop, host his own events, and hold residencies that developed his sound. Music production and a move to Berlin followed, but dancing and mixing are still the inspirations that drive him to create. His DJ sets are built on physical rhythms and adventurous programming, effortlessly combining diverse varieties of techno and house. With an engaging presence and a knack for telling a story, he builds a unique connection with each audience, and works any room until it sweats.
