A song about a crush that dragged on forever but was never resolved - and an attempt to write a sort of Taylor Swift-esque song.

I saw you - right at the start I still know I thought
I hope this one’s more-than-easy-on the eye but funny kind honest and smart
And time flies, I feel kinda creepy watching you and the guys,
I’m clearly trying way too hard to be all casual when I’m not

And I - hear my pulse pounding loudly, in my ears whenever someone says your name, or I see someone who kinda moves like you
And I - feel the blood rush right into - my cheeks when you get on the same train, or glance at me from the back of the room.

I look around - no one I know, the music’s way too loud, I’m all alone in a faceless crowd of 40000, that’s what they call fun
But suddenly - I spot you there right of me, 
I shout your name feeling pretty dumb but you grab my hand and the damage is done!

And I - can’t believe that you really pulled me into this magnificent scene someone plucked straight out of my silliest dreams
And I - am relieved that you seem to be grinning just as widely as me, my head is spinning round working out what this means.

But then out of the blue suddenly there you are.
The night goes on, I worry you might not be having fun 
So I take a leap into the river of fear, 
My heart is skipping a beat, I say let’s get out of here.

So now - we’re alone in the crowd and I know one of us should make a move, I can hear the clock ticking past the moment of truth
And how - have we both not gone home yet but keep tryin’ to stay awake for sign, the brakes are kicking in this is the end of the line.
